USB Driver Installation

Windows 8/10
Installation is performed automatically. Optionally , to check the operation, follow the instructions below:

  • Connect the iDBio equipment to a computer;
  • Go to the start menu and search for Device Manager;
  • In Device Manager, identify the “USB Serial Device (COMx)” recognized as “Ports (COM & LPT)”.
Windows 7
  • Connect the iDBio equipment to a computer;
  • Go to the start menu and search for Device Manager;
  • In the Device Manager window, find the “CDC Serial” device recognized as “Other Devices”;
  • Right-click on the “CDC Serial” device and select the Update Driver option;
  • Click Browse my computer for driver software;
  • Click Let me choose from a list of device drivers on my computer;
  • The driver can be found in the SDK at
    https://www.controlid.com.br/idbio/IDBIO_SDK. zip
  • In the Driver Update window, select “iDBio”, click Next and confirm the driver installation;
  • Wait until Windows finishes installing the Driver;
  • Identify in Device Manager the “iDBio (COMx)” recognized as “Ports (COM & LPT)”.
