Product Usage Instructions
BACnet Interoperability Building Block
The BASrouterSX supports segmentation capability for
transmitting and receiving segmented messages with specified window
sizes.
Standard Object Types
The router supports the Device object type which cannot be
created or deleted dynamically. It passes BACnet communications not
directed to the router to the appropriate network.
Data Link Layer Options
The device supports various Data Link Layer options including
BACnet IP, Foreign Device, Ethernet, ARCNET, and others with
specified baud rates.
Device Address Binding
The router supports static device binding which is necessary for
two-way communication with MS/TP slaves and certain other
devices.
Networking Options
The BASrouterSX functions as a router, enabling routing between
BACnet/IP, ISO 8802-3, and MS/TP networks. It also supports BACnet
Tunnelling Router over IP and BBMD functionality with registration
support by Foreign Devices.
Character Sets Supported
The device supports the ISO 10646 UTF-8 character set for
communication.
