Delete the Crosswork Data Gateway VM

Delete VM using the vSphere UI
This section explains how to delete a Crosswork Data Gateway VM from vCenter using the vSphere UI.

Deleting the VM will permanently remove all Crosswork Data Gateway data.Caution
Before you begin
Ensure that you have deleted Crosswork Data Gateway from Crosswork Cloud. For instructions, refer to the section Delete Crosswork Data Gateways in the respective Crosswork Cloud application user guide.
Procedure
Step 1 Access the VMware vSphere Web Client and log in.
Step 2 In the Navigator pane, right-click the app VM you wish to delete, and select Power> Power Off.
Step 3 Once the VM is powered off, right-click the VM again and select Delete from Disk. The VM will be permanently deleted.

Delete the Crosswork Data Gateway VM from OpenStack

Follow these steps to delete the Crosswork Data Gateway Service from OpenStack using either the OpenStack UI or the OpenStack CLI.

Deleting the Crosswork Data Gateway VM will permanently remove the VM and its data. Once deleted, the VM cannot be recovered.
Before you begin
Ensure that you have deleted the Crosswork Data Gateway from Crosswork Cloud as described in the Delete Crosswork Data Gateways section in Cisco Crosswork Cloud User Guide.

Procedure

Step 1 From the OpenStack UI:
a) Log in to the OpenStack UI.
b) From the main menu, navigate to Compute> Instances.
c) In the displayed list of VMs, locate and select the VM you want to delete.
d) Click Delete Instances.
e) In the confirmation window, click Delete Instances again to confirm and delete the selected VM.
Step 2 From the OpenStack CLI:
a) Access the OpenStack VM using the command line interface.
b) Execute the following command: openstack server delete CDG_VM_name For example, openstack server delete cdg-ospd1
c) (Optional) Confirm that the VM has been deleted by listing all VMs: openstack server list
