To synchronize new fobs, locate the receiver unit and the feature push button. Press the feature button deliberately 3 times until the status LED lights red continuously, indicating the synchronization window is open. Within 10 seconds, press any button on the first fob. The LED will blink off and on, and the horn may beep. Repeat for additional fobs. Note that synchronizing a new fob clears all previously saved fobs, so you must synchronize all your fobs during the same session.
To change your 5-digit Access Code, press the 5/6 button for 5 seconds until the keypad beeps and the backlight flashes (Learn Mode). Enter your 6-digit Authority Code. Once verified, press the memory bank button (e.g., 1/2 for Memory 1). Enter your new 5-digit code, wait for the keypad to chirp 3 times, and then re-enter the code to confirm. Test the new sequence to verify it programmed successfully.
If the striker alignment pins will not engage smoothly with the striker plate, your vehicle may have an older striker plate with narrower slots. If so, a replacement striker plate is required. Do not tamper with or attempt to loosen the factory-set striker alignment pins, as this creates a safety hazard.
If an incorrect code is entered repeatedly (typically 5 to 20 failed attempts depending on the e-PAD model), the keypad enters a temporary inactive mode that disables all buttons for 1 minute. The backlights will flash, but the keypad will not sound or accept inputs, preventing unauthorized persons from guessing the access codes.
