Press the user button for at least 2 seconds. When 3 soft tones are heard, the smoke detector is working correctly. If not, contact the toll-free hotline.
A flashing red LED indicates a fault or that smoke has been detected. If it is a false alarm (e.g., from kitchen fumes), press the user key to deactivate the loud alarm sound for 10 minutes. The red LED will continue to flash until the issue is cleared.
A yellow flashing LED indicates item, soiling, or covering recognition. The LED will flash 3 times every 30 seconds. To resolve this, remove any objects or dust covering the sensor up to 60 cm away.
Turn the smoke detector anticlockwise (left) manually and pull it downwards off the assembly plate without removing the plate itself. You must reinstall the detector in its original location within 21 days; leaving it off longer may transmit a radio signal that triggers a chargeable service call.
