To change the battery, loosen the screw covers and remove the extender from the wall. Open the rear housing, remove the old battery, and insert a new CR 123 A battery, making sure the polarity matches the markings.
Open the device and continuously press the button next to the connection cable for 5 seconds until you hear a confirmation beep. A green LED will flash during the 120-second programming window.
The extender can be powered internally by a standard CR 123 A battery or via an external DC power source (DC 4.9 V - 21 V, min. 500 mA). Do not connect both power options simultaneously.
To install a firmware update, place the extender into programming mode, and use the BURGsmart app or the official secuENTRY software to install the latest available updates.
