Petromax support FAQ
Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.
-
How do I season my Petromax wrought iron pan?
To season the pan, first wash off the corrosion protection with hot water and dry thoroughly. Then, coat the inside with a high-smoke-point oil (or Petromax Care Paste) and heat it upside down in an oven or on a grill at 200–250°C (392–482°F) for at least 30 minutes. Repeat this process three times to build a durable patina.
-
How can I maximize the cooling time of my Petromax Cooler Box?
For optimal performance, pre-cool the box and your food before use. Fill the box with as much ice as possible (large blocks last longer), keep the lid closed as much as possible, and store the box in the shade. Drain melting water only if refilling with new ice.
-
What type of batteries does the Petromax PX-LM500 LED Lantern use?
The PX-LM500 uses four MC18650 lithium-ion batteries (3.6 V). Ensure they are inserted with the correct polarity as indicated in the battery compartment.
-
Is the light source in Petromax LED lanterns replaceable?
No, for models like the LM500, the LED light source is integrated and not replaceable. If the light source reaches the end of its lifespan, the entire lantern unit must be replaced.
-
Where can I get support for my Petromax product?
You can contact the Petromax service team via email at service@petromax.de or info@petromax.de for assistance with defects, repairs, or usage questions.
