For the sensors covered by the WLSV1 guide, install one AAA alkaline battery, open Menu > Sensors > Add on the thermostat, then hold the sensor's Pair button for three seconds. Follow the thermostat prompts to select and name the sensor.
The WLSV1 guide states that sensors must be paired on the thermostat. Once paired, they appear automatically in the mobile app.
Confirm pairing mode is active, check the battery and keep the sensor within approximately 45 feet of the thermostat. Walls and interference may reduce the range. A thermostat supports up to 16 paired sensors.
