NewSmile support FAQ

Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.

  • How do I clean my NewSmile aligners?

Mix 1-part white vinegar with 3-parts warm water and let your aligners soak for 20 minutes, then rinse in cool water. Avoid using toothpaste or hard brushes, as they can scratch the aligners.

  • What should I do if my aligners are too tight?

Use the provided chewies to gently push your aligners into place over your teeth. If they are still extremely tight and making it hard to seat them completely, you may need to go back a step and wear those aligners for an extra week.

  • Can I eat while wearing my aligners?

No. Always remove your aligners before eating or drinking anything other than plain, unsugared water. Eating with aligners can cause stains and trap food, leading to cavities.

  • How do I safely remove my aligners?

Use both hands to gently dislodge the aligner from your back molars on each side at the same time, then slowly work your way to the front. Avoid twisting or pulling sharply from one side only to prevent cracking.
