Nectre support FAQ
Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.
-
Can I install my Nectre wood heater myself?
It is highly recommended that the installation of your Nectre wood heater be carried out by a qualified professional to ensure compliance with Australian safety standards and local building regulations.
-
What kind of wood should I use in my Nectre heater?
Burn only seasoned hardwood timber with a moisture content of less than 20%. Newly cut wood should dry for 12 to 18 months before use. Do not burn painted, treated, or manufactured wood products.
-
How often should I remove ash from my heater?
Depending on usage, ashes should be removed every 2 to 6 weeks. Leave about 10mm of ash in the base to protect the firebox and help easily start the fire next time.
-
Why is the glass on my Nectre heater door turning black?
Blackening glass is typically caused by burning unseasoned or wet wood, operating the heater at too low a temperature, or having insufficient flue draught. Running the heater on high should help burn off the accumulated soot.
