About HEDD manuals on Manuals.plus
Heinz Electrodynamic Designs (HEDD) is a Berlin-based audio manufacturer specializing in high-end studio monitors, audiophile headphones, and subwoofers. Drawing upon four decades of acoustic engineering experience, HEDD products are meticulously designed and assembled in Germany, catering to both demanding audio professionals and serious audiophiles.
The brand is renowned for utilizing advanced material science and pioneering technologies, such as the full-range Air Motion Transformer (AMT) driver and the Thin-Ply Carbon Diaphragm (TPCD). Furthering innovation, their active studio monitors and subwoofers often integrate unique features like the Closed or Ported (CoP) system—allowing users to choose between two distinct acoustical setups—and the built-in HEDD Lineariser® for precise phase-correction.
Whether you are correctly placing a complex phase-linearized satellite-subwoofer array or breaking in your new HEDDphone series headphones, proper setup is critical to getting the best sound. Here you can find comprehensive user manuals, calibration instructions, and setup guides to ensure your HEDD Audio equipment delivers unparalleled clarity, transient response, and precision.

HEDD support FAQ
Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.
-
How do I switch my HEDD MK2 monitors between Closed and Ported (CoP) modes?
Use the included HEDD plugs and screw to securely seal the bass reflex ports. Push the plugs in until resistance is met, then turn the CoP rotary switch on the back panel to "Closed". To return to "Ported" mode, use the screw to pull the plugs out and reset the switch.
-
What does the HEDD Lineariser® do on my speakers?
The on-board HEDD Lineariser® performs complex phase-correction to resolve phase alignment issues during multi-component sound reproduction. This greatly improves transients and imaging. Unavoidably, it introduces a slight latency (up to 30ms for subs), so it can be disabled when tracking live instruments.
-
What crossover setting should I use for HEDD BASS subwoofers paired with MK2 satellites?
Connect your audio source to the subwoofer, then route the analog outputs from the subwoofer to the satellites. Set the LF RANGE on both the satellites and the subwoofer to "FOR SUB (80 Hz)". The 80 Hz setting ensures the phase linearization system accurately aligns the speakers.
-
How do I register my HEDD products for the extended warranty?
HEDD products typically include an extended 5-year warranty dependent on registration. You must complete your product registration on the official HEDD Audio website shortly after your purchase to activate the extended coverage.
