Eversense offers the world’s first long-term implantable continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems, providing diabetes patients with sensor readings for up to 6 months.
About Eversense manuals on Manuals.plus
Eversense is a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) brand manufactured by Senseonics, Inc. and distributed by Ascensia Diabetes Care. The Eversense system is distinct in the market for its long-term implantable sensor technology, which allows patients to continually measure interstitial glucose levels for extended periods—up to 180 days with the Eversense E3 system—without weekly sensor self-insertions.
The system consists of a small fluorescence-based sensor inserted subcutaneously by a healthcare provider, a removable and rechargeable smart transmitter worn over the insertion site, and a mobile app for real-time data tracking and alerts. Designed for adults with diabetes, Eversense provides on-body vibratory alerts from the transmitter itself, ensuring users are notified of high or low glucose events even when their mobile device is out of range. The smart transmitter is water-resistant and can be removed without dislodging the sensor, offering flexibility for data managing and lifestyle needs.

Eversense support FAQ
Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.
-
How often do I need to replace the Eversense sensor?
The Eversense E3 sensor is indicated for use for up to 6 months (180 days). Older models involved 90-day wear periods. The sensor must be inserted and removed by a healthcare provider.
-
Is the Eversense Smart Transmitter waterproof?
The smart transmitter is water-resistant (IP67) to a depth of 1 meter (3.2 feet) for up to 30 minutes. It can be removed and reapplied at any time without affecting the implanted sensor.
-
Do I still need to perform fingerstick calibrations?
Yes. Fingerstick blood glucose measurements are required for calibration. Typically, the system requires two calibrations per day for the first 21 days, and then one calibration per day thereafter.
-
Can I wear the Eversense transmitter during an MRI?
No. The smart transmitter is MR Unsafe and must be removed before undergoing an MRI procedure. The implanted sensor itself is MR Conditional.
-
What do the on-body vibe alerts indicate?
The smart transmitter provides vibration alerts for low or high glucose levels, predictive alerts, and system notifications (such as low battery), allowing you to be notified even if your phone is not nearby.
