Ebac Industrial Products support FAQ
Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.
- Why is my EIP dehumidifier not collecting water?
If the unit is running but not collecting water, check that the humidity level in the room is high enough to require drying. Additionally, the unit may be in its automatic 'Hot Gas' defrost cycle, which periodically clears ice from the coils, especially in temperatures below 25°C.
- Is ice formation on the coils normal?
Yes, in cooler ambient temperatures (typically below 25°C/77°F), a layer of frost or ice on the evaporator coils is normal. EIP units are designed with an active defrost system to melt this ice efficiently.
- Where should I position my EIP dehumidifier?
Ideally, place the unit in the center of the room to be conditioned. Ensure there is clear space (at least 0.5m) around the inlet and outlet grilles to allow for proper airflow. Do not obstruct the air intake or exhaust.
- How long should I wait before turning on the unit after moving it?
If the unit has been moved or notably tilted, let it stand upright for at least 15 minutes before switching it on. This allows the refrigerant oil to settle back into the compressor to prevent damage.
