Cowfish support FAQ

Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.

  • Do I need an inverter to run my Starlink with the Cowfish COSMO system?

No, the Cowfish COSMO system operates directly off your caravan's 12V or 24V battery system. This eliminates the need for an inverter and significantly reduces overall power consumption for off-grid use.

  • How do I reset my Cowfish Mini Access Point to factory settings?

While the device is powered on, use a toothpick or pin to press and hold the Reset button for at least 5 seconds. Release the button and wait for the device to restart completely. This will erase all custom configurations, including your saved Wi-Fi passwords.

  • What is the default IP address and login for a Cowfish router?

The default configuration utility IP address for the Cowfish Mini Access Point is 6.6.6.6. The default administrator password to log in is 'admin'.

  • Why isn't my Starlink dish powering on with the Cowfish 12V Integration Kit?

Insufficient power supply is a common cause. Ensure your 12V feed utilizes adequate electrical cabling (a minimum of 14 AWG for integration kits, or 10 AWG for the COSMO system) and is wired directly from the battery block. Using pre-existing cigarette lighter sockets can cause a voltage drop that prevents the dish from booting.
