Burton Safes support FAQ

Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.

  • What should I do if the battery dies on my Burton Safe?

If your safe runs out of battery power, look for external emergency power contacts (often by removing a plastic cover on the keypad). Hold a 9V alkaline battery against the + and - connectors. While keeping contact, press the [ON] key, enter your 6-digit code, and turn the handle. Once the door is fully open, replace the internal batteries.

  • How do I register the warranty for my Burton Safe?

To register your 2-year parts and labour warranty, locate the serial number on your product and visit www.burtonsafes.co.uk/warranty to activate it.

  • How do I change the master code on my Burton Safe?

Generally, you must open the lock using your existing master code and open the door. Press [ON], then [ENTER]. Press [1], then [ENTER]. Enter your existing 6-digit master code, press [ENTER]. Enter a new 6-digit code, press [ENTER]. Re-enter the new code and press [ENTER] to confirm.

  • What happens if I enter the incorrect code too many times?

If an incorrect code is entered, a warning LED usually flashes. After 3 continuous incorrect entries, a penalty lock-out time will begin (initially 1 minute), during which no new codes can be entered. The time extends upon further failed attempts.
