Congratulations on selecting your new Build Your Own Microscope Kit! In order to achieve optimum performance, please follow instructions for proper use and care.

Optigami
Instructions For Use:

1. Place microscope on secure, flat surface.
2. Set objective lens 6 to 50x, then rotate zoom wheel 1 right to 1x.
3. Take included prepared pine slide and place on center of stage 3. Wrap included rubber bands around slide and stage.
4. Push button 3 located under stage to turn on light.
5. Place phone, camera side down, on smartphone platform 3, over microscope eyepiece.
6. Turn on camera. If image is not centered, adjust position of phone. For best results, use in video mode.
7. Turn focus wheel 7 until slide is in focus.
8. Rotate zoom wheel 1 toward 2x and magnification will increase. When switching objective lenses 5, return zoom wheel to 1x.
   Remove platform to use microscope without smartphone.

To make custom slides:

1. Clean slides with a microfiber cloth to remove fingerprints and dust.
2. Place specimen of choice (dirt, sand, leaves, flowers, etc.) on blank side.
3. Using included eye dropper, put one drop of water on top of specimen to hold in place. Gently add coverslip on top of specimen.
   Important: Empty and dry eye dropper after each use.
