Canva Different template

Introduction
Canva templates are pre-designed layouts created by professional designers that you can fully customize. Instead of starting with a terrifying blank white screen, you start with a structure. The magic lies in their flexibility. You can change the colors, swap the fonts, drop in your own photos, and move every single element until the original template is unrecognizable—or keep it exactly as is if you’re in a rush.
Using templates
Step 1: Finding templates
As part of a Canva pro membership, you will have access to over a million in built templated designs that you can use to help promote your organisation, I’m going to demonstrate during this video how to use a template for a social post, a Facebook Header and an Instagram story. First of all we’re going to start with a social media post. First of all we want to type in social media across the top of the page to find our preferred shape of design. Once we click on this we will have an option of 1000’s of templates to choose from. Ignore the content in these social media posts, we will be changing them. Focus on finding a design you like and imagine how it will look with your imagery, branding and copy.
Here is an example of the templates we have as an option:

Step 2: Finding templates
If you don’t see any templates that suit your need on the first page you can open up a blank design and search templates by keyword. For example, we want this social post to be a quote from one of our volunteers, So if I search the term ‘quote’, it will show all of the templates designed to feature a quote. I found the template below which already has a similar colour scheme to our organisation and will be suitable for our needs.
Now we have our chosen design, we can replace the copy and imagery with our own. It is important to also change the font and colour schemes to match our organisations.Below you can see the transition between the template and our final post:
Step 3: Sharing your post
We now have our post. You can try and add more detail, copy and illustrations, but I believe its more important to keep the post clean and easy to read. To share this post we head to the top right hand corner and click ‘Share’ From here you can either download the image to use on something like ‘Later’ that manages all of your social media accounts. Or we can connect our FB, Instagram, LinkedIn and other accounts to Canva to post or schedule straight away.
