1. Introducció

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and effective use of your Eventek GM550 Infrared Thermometer and the accompanying Meat Thermometer. This dual-purpose device is designed for accurate temperature measurement across a wide range of applications, from culinary tasks to industrial inspections. Please read this manual thoroughly before operation and retain it for future reference.

3.1 Components

The Eventek GM550 package includes the following items:

  • 1 x Eventek GM550 Infrared Thermometer
  • 1 x Meat Thermometer (Probe)
  • 2 x AAA Batteries (for Infrared Thermometer)

3.2 Característiques clau

4. Configuració

4.1 Infrared Thermometer Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the handle of the infrared thermometer.
  2. Obriu la tapa del compartiment de la bateria.

4.2 Termòmetre de carn

The meat thermometer is typically ready for use out of the box. Ensure the probe is clean before first use.

5. Instruccions de funcionament

5.1 Using the Infrared Thermometer

  1. Encès: Press the trigger to turn on the device. The display will light up.
  2. Select Unit (°C/°F): Press the '°C/°F' button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
  3. Objectiu i mesura: Point the laser at the target surface. Press and hold the trigger. The laser dot indicates the center of the measurement area. The temperature will be displayed instantly.
  4. Relació distància a punt: The device has a 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio. This means that at a distance of 12 inches, the measurement spot diameter is 1 inch. For accurate readings, ensure the target area is larger than the spot size.
  5. Conservació de dades: Release the trigger to hold the current reading on the display. The 'HOLD' icon will appear.
  6. Apagat automàtic: The device will automatically turn off after approximately 10 seconds of inactivity to save battery.

5.2 Ajust d'emissivitat

Emissivity (EMS) is the ability of a material to emit thermal energy. Different materials have different emissivity values. For accurate measurements, adjust the emissivity setting to match the target material.

  1. With the device on, press the 'MODE' button until 'EMS' appears on the display.
  2. Use the 'Laser (Decrease)' and '°C/°F (Increase)' buttons to adjust the emissivity value between 0.1 and 1.0.
  3. Press the 'MODE' button again to confirm and exit emissivity adjustment.

5.3 Max/Min Modes

The device can display the maximum or minimum temperature detected during a continuous scan.

  1. With the device on, press the 'MODE' button repeatedly until 'MAX' or 'MIN' appears on the display.
  2. While holding the trigger, the display will show the maximum or minimum temperature recorded during that scan.

5.4 Using the Meat Thermometer

  1. Encès: Press the power button on the meat thermometer.
  2. Select Unit (°C/°F): Press the '°C/°F' button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
  3. Insereix la sonda: Carefully insert the stainless steel probe into the thickest part of the food, avoiding bone.
  4. Temperatura de lectura: The internal temperature will be displayed on the LCD screen. The meat thermometer offers a rapid response time of 0.1 seconds.

6. Manteniment

6.1 Neteja

  • Termòmetre d'infrarojos: Netegeu la lent amb un suau, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water. Wipe the casing amb anunciamp tela.
  • Termòmetre de carn: Wash the stainless steel probe with warm, soapy water after each use. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Do not immerse the digital display unit in water.

6.2 Substitució de la bateria

When the low battery indicator appears on the infrared thermometer's display, replace the AAA batteries as described in the Setup section.

6.3 Emmagatzematge

When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries from the infrared thermometer to prevent leakage. Store both thermometers in a protective case (if available) in a dry, cool place.
