Configuració

1. Instal·lació de maquinari

Follow these steps to install your hard drives into the enclosure:

1. Unpack the enclosure and gently pull out the internal hard disk card slot/tray.
2. Align your 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA HDD/SSD with the interface on the tray and firmly install it. Secure the drive with the provided screws.
3. Before inserting the tray back, adjust the DIP switches on the unit to select your desired RAID mode. The factory default setting is JBOD mode. (Refer to the 'RAID Mode Configuration' section for details on modes).
4. Insert the installed hard disk tray back into the enclosure until it clicks into place.

2. Connecting to Power and Computer

1. Connect the 12V/4A power adapter to the DC 12V port on the back of the enclosure and plug it into a power outlet.
2. Connect one end of the USB-C data cable to the USB-C port on the enclosure and the other end to an available USB port on your computer or compatible device.

1. Encendre/apagar

Press the 'POWER' button on the back of the enclosure to turn it on or off. The indicator lights on the top will illuminate when the device is powered on and drives are active.

WARNING: Always back up your data before changing RAID modes. Changing RAID modes will erase all data on the drives.

The enclosure supports four RAID modes, which are configured using DIP switches on the back of the hard disk tray. The factory default is JBOD mode.

• RAID 0 (striping): The recognized capacity is twice the capacity of the smaller hard drive. Both switches are turned to the digital position (e.g., 'ON' for both). Note: If any hard disk fails, all data will be lost.
• RAID 1 (mirall): Only recognizes the data stored in one hard disk and backs it up to another hard disk at the same time. Set switch No. 1 to the digital position and switch No. 2 to 'ON'. Note: If any hard disk fails, the data will not be lost.
• JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disks): Recognized as two separate hard disks. Both switches are set to 'ON'. This is the factory default setting.
• SPAN (Concatenation): Recognized as a single large hard disk, where the size is the sum of the two hard disks. Dial switch 1 to 'ON' and dial switch 2 to numbers (e.g., 'OFF').

The enclosure features an intelligent sleep mode that activates automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity to save power and extend drive lifespan. To disable this feature, please contact Acasis customer service for assistance.

The USB-C interface supports 5Gbps high-speed data transfer, allowing for quick file transfers. Measured speeds can reach up to 400MB/s for 1GB file transfers in approximately 3 seconds.

• Data loss or corruption after RAID configuration:
  • Changing RAID modes will erase all data. Always back up your data before making any changes to RAID settings.
  • If data was lost due to a RAID change without backup, data recovery may be difficult or impossible.
• Only one drive recognized in a dual-bay setup:
  • In JBOD mode, both drives should appear as separate volumes. If only one appears, check the installation of the second drive and the DIP switch settings.
  • Ensure both drives are healthy and properly formatted.
• Enclosure goes to sleep too quickly/doesn't wake up:
  • The intelligent sleep mode activates after 10 minutes of inactivity. Accessing the drive should wake it up.
