bushops RoboWalker Instructions

RoboWalker logo

The RoboWalker has a cart on which the switch for the battery box is located. Once switched on, power is sent to the motor, which drives the pulleys that turn and allow the RoboWalker to move forward.

Precautions :
  • This product requires two AA batteries (not included). Remove them when you’re not using the RoboPromeneur.
  • Pay attention to the orientation of the plates by looking closely at the pictures, and fit them together gently.
  • To connect the wires to the motor, make sure they’re in the right position, as shown in Fig. 1, otherwise the RoboPromeneur will work backwards!
  • When installing the blue pulleys, make sure that the axles face in opposite directions.
  • Leave a small 1mm gap between the orange bushings and the wooden plates.

Learning with fun

Discover the RoboWalker principle: the principle of pulling, a force for progress

Imagine a powerful tractor or a strong horse pulling a cart behind it. These animals use a force called draught to move the cart forward. But did you know that this pulling force is also present in some of the mechanisms we use every day?

RoboWalker A3

In our RoboWalker kit, we use the pull principle to move it forward.

So, how does it work?
The principle of pulling shows the importance of force in movement. Whether it’s a tractor, a horse or a robot, this pulling force is used to overcome resistance and move objects forward.

The RoboWalker has two pulleys that play an essential role in the robot’s movement. They are connected to a motor and wheels that enable it to move forward. When the motor receives electricity from the batteries, the pulleys rotate, creating a pulling force that turns the wheels, enabling the RoboWalker to move.

RoboWalker A4

By learning about the principle of the draw with our RoboWalker kit, you’ll understand how forces can be used to make things happen.

Have fun experimenting and discover for yourself the power of the draw!
