Getting Started
1. Unbox the following items: POLAR GO, Quick Start Guide, USB-C
to USB-C Cable.
2. If your mobile device has a Lightning port, ensure you have a
Lightning-to-USB adapter for data transfer.
System Requirements
Mobile Devices:
- iOS 14.0+ (iPhone 8 or newer)
- Android 9.0+ with USB-C and OTG support
Desktop/Laptop:
- macOS 10.15+ (no driver required)
- Windows 10+ (Blackstar ASIO driver required)
POLAR GO Hardware Overview
The hardware includes stereo microphones, combo input, headphone
output, and dual USB-C ports. It can be powered by a rechargeable
battery or USB bus power.

The app provides control over levels, effects, routing, and
recording. Features tabs for Home, Camera, Settings, and allows

POLAR GO Hardware Overview
POLAR GO includes stereo microphones, a combo input, headphone output, and dual USB-C ports. It is powered by a rechargeable battery or via USB bus power.

POLAR GO App Interface
The POLAR GO app offers full control of levels, effects, routing, and recording.
App Layout n Tabs: Home, Camera, Settings n Adjust parameters in real time
Input & Mic Controls Input Channel: n Adjust Gain (sensitivity), Space (Reverb), and built-in effects
Mic Channel n Adjust Gain, Body / Clarity (EQ), Space (Reverb), and enable
Magic Wand
Presets and Parameters n Vocal, Guitar, Podcast, Ambient, Flat n Adjust and save your own
Save Button: Make sure to press the Save button to write all current parameters to POLAR GO. These settings will be recalled when the unit is powered off and back on.
Reverb and Built-in Effects n Add Space reverb to any input n Tailored for natural feel and stereo width
Multi-Track Mode n Sends each input to separate USB channels for mixing/editing later
USB Loopback n Combine playback and live input for livestreaming or recording
Camera and Video Recording n Use Camera tab to capture synced video and POLAR GO audio n Monitor in real-time and apply processing live

Using with a DAW POLAR GO is compatible with all major DAWs on macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android. MacOS: No driver required (Core Audio). Windows: Download the ASIO driver from www.blackstaramps.com/ polar-go/go Monitoring Tip: POLAR GO has direct monitoring enabled by default. If you prefer to monitor through your DAW, enable Multitrack Mode and disable direct monitoring in the app.
Ableton Live n Select POLAR GO as input/output in Preferences. n Arm audio track. n Disable monitoring in Ableton or adjust in POLAR GO App.
Logic Pro X n Select POLAR GO in Audio Preferences. n Arm audio track. n Disable monitoring in Logic or adjust in POLAR GO App.
Pro Tools n Select POLAR GO in Playback Engine. n Arm audio track. n Disable monitoring in Pro Tools or adjust in POLAR GO App.
FL Studio n Select POLAR GO in Audio Settings. n Arm mixer track. n Disable monitoring in FL Studio or adjust in POLAR GO App.
Studio One n Select POLAR GO as audio interface. n Arm track and record. n Disable monitoring in Studio One or adjust in POLAR GO App.
GarageBand (iPhone) n Connect via USB-C or Lightning adapter. n GarageBand auto-detects POLAR GO. n In track input settings, disable monitoring if not using Multitrack Mode. n To monitor through GarageBand, enable Multitrack Mode and disable
direct monitoring in the app.
Cubase n Select POLAR GO in Studio Setup. n Arm audio track. n Disable monitoring in Cubase or adjust in POLAR GO App.

Connectivity Examples
Instrument and Microphone Setup n Plug microphone or instrument into INPUT. n Enable +48V for condenser mics. n Plug headphones into headset jack. n Adjust gain and output in the app.
Headset and Stereo Mic Setup TRRS Headset: n Plug in headset and select `Headset Mic’ in app settings.
Built-in Stereo Mics: n Use onboard mics without any cables. n Adjust Body, Clarity, and Space in app. n Great for mobile or ambient recording.
All configurations support USB Loopback, Multitrack Mode, and reverb processing.
