Lieber Benutzer, Sie haben sich für einen hochwertigen Rollstuhl von Bischoff & Bischoff entschieden. Wir bedanken uns für Ihr Vertrauen. Diese Bedienungsanleitung enthält alle nötigen Informationen zur Bedienung des Rollstuhls Pyro Start Plus / Pyro Start Plus SL Das Modell Pyro Start Plus SL erlaubt eine verbesserte Anpassbarkeit für große Menschen aufgrund der größeren Sitzhöhe, Sitztiefe und Rückenhöhe. Ihr Rollstuhl ist sowohl für den Gebrauch im Haus als auch im Freien ausgelegt. Bitte lesen und beachten Sie vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme Ihres neuen Rollstuhls aufmerksam die Bedienungsanleitung. Diese ist ein fester und notwendiger Bestandteil des Rollstuhls. Bewahren Sie die Bedienungsanleitung griffbereit auf und geben Sie diese bei Weitergabe des Rollstuhls mit. 2. Wichtige Sicherheitshinweise

2.1. Allgemeine Sicherheits hinweise

· Um Stürze und gefährliche Situationen zu vermeiden, den Umgang

mit Ihrem neuen Rollstuhl erst auf ebenem, überschaubarem

Gelände üben. Eine Begleitperson wird empfohlen.

· Vor Anwendung des Rollstuhls kontrollieren, ob alle angebauten

Teile ordentlich befestigt sind.

· Den Rollstuhl nur an fest montierten Teilen anheben (s. Kap. 7.3).

· Bei der Gleichgewichtverlagerung durch Körperbewegungen oder

Beladung des Rollstuhls vergrößert sich das Kipprisiko zu allen

Seiten.

· Den Rollstuhl nicht zum Transport mehrerer Personen oder von

Lasten missbrauchen. Die Zweckbestimmung (s. Kap.3) beachten!

· Bei Einstellungen und Verstellungen am Rollstuhl besteht

Klemmgefahr für Körperteile!

· Kleidungsstücke und Körperteile von Spalten zwischen beweglichen

Teilen fernhalten!

· Beim Überwinden von Hindernissen (Stufen etc.) eine Begleitperson

hinzuziehen. Die Ankipphilfe (s. Kap. 5.14) verwenden (Abb. A).

· Treppen und größere Hindernisse nur mit Hilfe von mindestens

zwei Begleitpersonen überwinden (s. Kap. 7.3). Einrichtungen

wie Auffahrrampen, Aufzüge oder Treppensteighilfen – sofern

vorhanden – benutzen (Abb. B).

· Bei Fahrten auf einem/einer Gefälle/Steigung beachten, dass

schon ab wenigen Grad Kippgefahr besteht. Die Verwendung eines

Kippschutzes (s. Kap. 5.14) wird empfohlen (Abb. C).

· Kollisionen jeglicher Art vermeiden.

· Nur auf ebenem, festem Untergrund fahren.

· Beim Ein- oder Aussteigen in bzw. aus dem Rollstuhl beide

Feststellbremsen (s. Kap. 5.8.1) anziehen.

· Die Bremsfunktion muss vor jedem Fahrtantritt auf

Funktionstüchtigkeit geprüft werden.

· Im Straßenverkehr die Straßenverkehrsordnung beachten.

· Die passive Beleuchtung (Reflektoren) Ihres Rollstuhls vor jedem Fahrtantritt auf Unversehrtheit und Sichtbarkeit für andere Verkehrsteilnehmer überprüfen.
· Die Feststellbremse nur zum Parken benutzen. · Die Sitzmaterialien sind beständig gegen Entflammbarkeit gemäß
EN 1021-2. Dennoch Zigaretten und andere mögliche Brandquellen von Ihrem Produkt fernhalten. · Den Rollstuhl vor Sonneneinstrahlung schützen, um Verbrennungen durch aufgeheizte Komponenten zu vermeiden. · Die Lager- und Betriebsbedingungen beachten (s. Kap. 15) · Beim Transfer zwischen Rollstuhl und Bett (s. Kap. 7.1 und 7.2) stets: · beide Feststellbremsen anziehen · Fußplatte hochklappen oder Beinstützen abschwenken. · Bei einer ungünstigen Sitzbreiten und Sitztiefen Kombination kann es zu Einschränkungen beim Zugang zu Fluchtwegen kommen.
Achtung: Durch die Dimensionen des Rollstuhls ist es notwendig zu überprüfen ob Ihr Rollstuhl auch in der geplanten Umgebung bewegt werden kann. Dies gilt insbesondere für die Benutzung von Fluchtwegen.
· Meldung von Vorkommnissen. Wenn Sie als Betreiber, Nutzer oder deren Angehörige mögliche Defekte oder Funktionseinschränkungen feststellen, wenden Sie sich bitte umgehend an einen autorisierten Fachhändler. Betreiber, Nutzer oder deren Angehörige sollten Ihren Fachhändler, der Ihnen das Produkt bereitgestellt hat, über mutmaßliche schwerwiegende Vorkommnisse, die direkt oder indirekt eine der nachstehenden Folgen hatten oder haben könnten und von denen sie betroffen sind, informieren. Sie können dies auch der zuständigen Bundesoberbehörde melden. · den Tod eines Patienten, Anwenders oder einer anderen Person, · die vorübergehende oder dauerhafte schwerwiegende

zu vermeiden.

2.2. Kippgefahr
Sofern vorhanden verhindern die beidseitig angebrachten Antikipprollen (s. Kap. 5.15) weitestgehend, dass der Rollstuhl nach hinten kippt. Beachten Sie dennoch, dass das Fahren mit Antikipprollen bei stufigem Gelände, Hebebühnen und Rampen nur eingeschränkt möglich ist. Stellen Sie einen ausreichenden Abstand nach oben, unten E und zu den Seiten sicher.
2.3. Sicherheit in Fahrzeugen
Ob Ihr Rollstuhl als Sitz im Kraftfahrzeug zur Beförderung mobilitätsbehinderter Personen zugelassen ist oder nicht, können Sie anhand der Symbole auf dem Typenschild am Produkt (s. Kap. 4.3) erkennen: Rollstuhl als Sitz im Kraftfahrzeug zur Beförderung mobilitätsbehinderter Personen geeignet (Abb. D). Rollstuhl nicht als Sitz im Kraftfahrzeug zur Beförderung mobilitätsbehinderter Personen geeignet (Abb. E). Wenn Ihr Rollstuhl nicht als Fahrzeugsitz geeignet ist, darf er unter keinen Umständen als solcher verwendet werden. Er erfüllt dann die Anforderungen nach ISO 7176-19 nicht. Ein Zuwiderhandeln kann im Falle eines Unfalls schwerste Verletzungen mit Todesfolge verursachen (Abb. E).

2.4. Teilnahme am Straßenverkehr
Der Rollstuhl ist für den Innen- und Außenbereich konzipiert. Beachten Sie, dass Sie am öffentlichen Straßenverkehr teilnehmen und sich an die Vorschriften der Straßenverkehrsordnung (StVZO) halten müssen. Gefährden Sie andere Teilnehmer nicht durch rücksichtslose Fahrweise, dies gilt besonders auf Gehwegen.
2.5. Bremsen
Betriebsbremse: Im Fahrbetrieb bremsen Sie den Rollstuhl über die Greifreifen ab. Beachten Sie bitte, daß sich die Hände hierbei erhitzen können. (s. Kap. 5.8). Feststellbremse/Parken: Sobald der Rollstuhl steht, beide Bremshebel nach vorn drücken. Der Rollstuhl steht sicher gebremst, wenn er sich nicht mehr wegschieben lässt und beide Bremshebel bis zum Anschlag nach vorne gedrückt sind. Den Hebel wieder zu Ihnen zurückziehen, um die Bremse zu lösen (s. Kap. 5.8.1). Trommelbremse: Der Rollstuhl kann optional mit einer Trommelbremse, die nur von einer Begleitperson über die Bremshebel an den Schiebegriffen aus zu bedienen ist, ausgerüstet werden.
3. Zweckbestimmung
Der Rollstuhl ist ausschließlich zur Mobilitätssteigerung und zum Transport von gehbehinderten, erwachsenen Menschen mit den angegebenen Indikationen (s. Kap. 3.1) konzipiert. Das maximale Nutzergewichte: Pyro Start Plus von 125 kg Pyro Start Plus SL von 150 kg darf nicht überschritten werden. Zu beachten: Eine Gewährleistung kann von uns nur übernommen werden, wenn das Produkt unter den vorgegebenen Bedingungen und zu den vorgesehenen Zwecken eingesetzt wird.

3.1. Indikationen
Die Versorgung mit einem Rollstuhl ist geeignet für erwachsene Personen mit Gehunfähigkeit bzw. stark ausgeprägter Gehbehinderung, z.B. durch: · Lähmungen · Gliedmaßenverlust · Gliedmaßendefekt/-deformität · Gelenkkontrakturen (nicht an beiden Armen) · Gelenkschäden (nicht an beiden Armen) · sonstige Erkrankungen Eine Versorgung mit SL-Rollstühlen ist in Erwägung zu ziehen, wenn die Körpergröße des Benutzers mehr als 185 cm beträgt und ein StandardRollstuhl nicht mehr die notwendige Anpassbarkeit gewährleisten könnte.
3.2. Kontraindikationen
Die Versorgung mit Rollstühlen ist ungeeignet für erwachsene Personen mit: · Sitzunfähigkeit · Gelenkschäden /Gelenkkontrakturen an beiden Armen · Wahrnehmungsstörungen · starken Gleichgewichtsstörungen · Gliedmaßenverlust an beiden Armen · verminderter und nicht ausreichender Sehkraft · starken Einschränkungen der kognitiven Fähigkeiten
3.3. Konformitätserklärung
Wir als Bischoff & Bischoff GmbH erklären in alleiniger Verantwortung, dass der Rollstuhl Pyro Start Plus /Pyro Start Plus SL allen Anforderungen der MDR 2017/745 entspricht, die anwendbar sind.

3.4. Verantwortlichkeit
Eine Gewährleistung wird von uns nur übernommen, wenn · das Produkt unter den vorgegebenen Bedingungen und zu dem
vorgesehenen Zweck eingesetzt wird, · Änderungen, Erweiterungen, Reparaturen und Wartungsarbeiten
nur von solchen Personen ausgeführt werden, die von uns dazu ermächtigt wurden, und · der Rollstuhl unter Beachtung aller Gebrauchshinweise benutzt wird.
3.5. Nutzungsdauer
Die zu erwartende Produktlebensdauer beträgt bis zu fünf Jahre. Voraussetzung dafür sind der bestimmungsgemäße Gebrauch sowie die Einhaltung der Sicherheits-, Pflege- und Wartungshinweise gemäß dieser Bedienungsanleitung.

4. Produkt- und Lieferübersicht
4.1. Prüfung der Lieferung
Alle Produkte der Bischoff und Bischoff GmbH werden einer ordnungsgemäßen Endkontrolle in unserem Hause unterzogen und mit dem CE-Kennzeichen versehen (s. Kap. 4.3) Der Rollstuhl wird in einem speziellen Karton in Werkseinstellung geliefert. Nach dem Entpacken bewahren Sie den Karton nach Möglichkeit auf. Er dient zur eventuellen späteren Einlagerung oder Rücksendung des Produktes. Die Anlieferung und Einweisung erfolgt in der Regel über den qualifizierten Sanitätsfachhandel. Bei Versand per Bahn oder Spedition ist die Ware im Beisein des Überbringers sofort auf Transportschäden zu kontrollieren. Prüfen Sie den Inhalt auf Vollständigkeit (s. Kap. 4.2) und Unversehrtheit. Im Falle von Unregelmäßigkeiten oder Beschädigungen setzen Sie sich mit unserem Kundenservice in Verbindung. Die Kontaktdaten finden Sie auf der Rückseite dieser Bedienungsanleitung.

5. Zusammenbau/Anpassungen
Ihr neuer Bischoff & Bischoff Rollstuhl wird montiert und gefaltet in einem Bischoff & Bischoff Originalkarton angeliefert. Um Transportschäden zu vermeiden, werden steckbare Anbauteile separat mitgeliefert. Welche Optionen bei Ihrem Rollstuhl möglich sind, können Sie den 3. technischen Daten (s. Kap. 7) entnehmen.

5.1. Falten und Entfalten

Entfalten

· Den Faltrollstuhl neben Ihnen positionieren. (Abb. 3)

· Den Faltrollstuhl soweit zu Ihnen kippen, dass ein Antriebsrad

entlastet ist.

· Die Sitzrohre auseinanderschieben und diese mit der flachen Hand

nach unten drücken, bis sie in der Halterung am Rahmen arretiert

sind (Abb. 4).

3 · Das Sitzpolster muss vollständig ausgebreitet sein.

· Betätigen Sie die Feststellbremsen rechts und links an den

Antriebsrädern.

· Hängen Sie die Beinstützen ein.

· Nun können Sie sich hinsetzen

Falten · Den Faltrollstuhl neben sich positionieren. · Die Fußplatten nach oben klappen (Abb. 5) · Das Sitzkissen, sofern vorhanden, entfernen, greifen Sie vorn und
hinten das Sitzpolster und ziehen Sie es hoch.

Achten Sie beim Falten und Entfalten auf Ihre Finger, es besteht Klemmgefahr.

5.2. Beinstützen 5.2.1. Beinstützen abschwenkbar

Die Fußplatten können Sie individuell zur Seite hochklappen und auf

die Unterschenkellänge des Nutzers einstellen. Die Beinstützen können

Sie werkzeuglos abnehmen, wegschwenken und anschließend wieder

montieren.

Beinstützen anbauen

· Die Beinstütze am Oberteil festhalten, sodass diese nach außen

zeigt.

· Die Beinstütze mit dem Führungsbolzen in die Rahmenbohrung

einführen (Abb. 6).

· Die Beinstütze nach vorn schwenken, bis sie deutlich hörbar

einrastet (Abb. 6)

· Die Fußplatte ggf. herunterklappen.

Beinstützen wegschwenken und abnehmen Um Ihnen das Ein-/Aussteigen bei Ihrem Faltrollstuhl zu vereinfachen, können Sie die Beinstützen dazu nach außen oder innen wegschwenken, ohne sie dabei abbauen zu müssen. · Die Fußplatten ggf. hochklappen. · Den Griff nach oben ziehen (Abb. 8) und die Beinstütze nach außen 8.
schwenken (Abb. 8). · In der Außenposition kann die Beinstütze nach oben
herausgezogen werden (Abb. 8). Bevor Sie losfahren, montieren Sie die Beinstützen wieder wie oben beschrieben.

Steigen Sie niemals auf die Fußplatte und achten Sie beim Schwenken auf Ihre Finger, es besteht Klemmgefahr.

5.2.2. Beinstützen einstellen
Die Schrauben lösen, dann die Beinstütze auf die gewünschte Länge einstellen und die Schrauben anziehen (Abb. 9).
5.3. Winkelverstellbare Fußplatten
Die Fußplatten können im Winkel verstellt werden: 9. · Drehen Sie hierzu die Innensechskantschraube (siehe Abb. 10)

5.3.1. Waagrecht verstellbare Beinstützen (optional)
Die Montage erfolgt wie bei den Standardbeinstützen (Kap. 5.2.1.). 10. Für die Demontage (siehe Abb. 11), ist der Knopf (1) nach oben
gezogen zu halten und die Beinstütze nach außen zu klappen (2). Dann die Beinstütze nach oben abziehen (3). Zum Einstellen (Abb. 12), den Klemmhebel lockern, dann die Beinstütze auf die gewünschte Länge einstellen und den Klemmhebel festziehen. Die waagerechte Verstellung funktioniert wie folgt: Nach oben · durch Heben des Fußplattenträgerrohres die Beinstütze in die
gewünschte Position bringen. Nach unten 11. · Klemmhebel nach oben ziehen, dabei die Beinstütze festhalten und
auf die gewünschte Position bringen · Rasthebel loslassen; Beinstütze arretiert selbsttätig.
Steigen Sie niemals auf die Fußplatte und achten Sie beim schwenken auf Ihre Finger, es besteht Klemmgefahr.

5.4. Amputationsbeinstütze (optional)
Die Montage erfolgt wie bei den Standardbeinstützen (Kap. 5.2.1.). Die Einstellung der Unterschenkellänge kann einmal erfolgen durch Lösen der Schrauben an der Seite der Amputationsbeinstütze (1.) und Verfahren des Wadenpolsters an die gewünschte Stelle. Durch ummontieren des Wadenpolsters mit den an der Rückseite 13. befindlichen Inbußschrauben besteht noch eine weitere Möglichkeit die Unterschenkel- und Oberschenkellänge einzustellen. Für die waagrechte Einstellung das Wadenpolster einfach nach oben ziehen. Die Zurückstellung erfolgt durch ziehen des Klemmhebels (Abb. 14), ist die richtigen Position erreicht, Klemmhebel wieder loslassen. Das Wadenpolster kann ohne Werkzeug auch noch geschwenkt werden und für ein platzsparendes Zusammenklappen nach außen geklappt werden (Abb. 13). Die Demontage (Abb. 15) erfolgt durch ziehen des Knopfes (1.), dann herausschwenken (2.) und nach oben ziehen der 14. Amputationsbeinstütze (3.).

Zum Umsitzen muss die Beinstütze weggeschwenkt oder entfernt werden. Setzen Sie sich niemals auf die Beinstütze. Kippgefahr!

5.5. Seitenteile
5.5.1. Standardseitenteil
· Um leichter ein-/aussteigen zu können, sind die beiden Seitenteile mit den Armlehnen nach hinten schwenkbar.
· Betätigen Sie den Arretierhebel mit leichtem Fingerdruck und schwenken Sie gleichzeitig das Seitenteil nach hinten (Abb. 16).
· Zum Verriegeln des Seitenteils, klappen Sie dieses nach vorn und lassen es mit einem leichten Druck auf die Armlehne einrasten.
· Die Armauflagen der Seitenteile sind bei Lieferung in in der Mittelstellung montiert.
· Bei Bedarf können diese etwas nach vorne und hinten ummontiert werden.

5.5.2. Höhen- und tiefenverstellbares Seitenteil (optional)
Optional kann Ihr Rollstuhl mit höhen- und tiefenverstellbaren sowie abnehmbaren Seitenteilen ausgestattet werden. Das Seitenteil ist abnehmbar und abschwenkbar.
Höhenverstellung · Betätigen Sie den Arretierhebel, um die Armlehne in die
gewünschte Position zu verstellen (Abb. 17). · Wenn Sie die gewünschte Position erreicht haben, lassen Sie den
Hebel los. Die Arretierung rastet dann ein. · Die Höhe ist dann richtig gewählt, wenn -bei aufliegendem
Unterarm der Ober- und Unterarm in etwa einen rechten Winkel bilden.
Tiefenverstellung · Drücken Sie den Knopf seitlich an der Armlehne und schieben Sie
die Armlehne in die gewünschte Position (Abb. 18). · Lassen Sie den Knopf los und bewegen Sie die Armlehne leicht
nach vorne oder hinten bis Sie einrastet.
Seitenteil abnehmen Um das Seitenteil abzunehmen ist das Seitenteil zuerst durch betätigen der Taste 1 nach oben abzuschwenken. Durch Ziehen des Knopfes 2 kann dann das Seitenteil nach oben abgezogen werden (Abb. 19)

5.5.3. Abnehmbares Seitenteil (optional)
Um das Seitenteil abzunehmen ist das Seitenteil zuerst durch betätigen der Taste 1 nach oben abzuschwenken. Durch ziehen des Knopfes 2 kann dann das Seitenteil nach oben abgezogen werden (Abb. 20).
Zum Tragen des Rollstuhles niemals die Seitenteile benutzen!

5.6. Rückenhöhe
Beim Rollstuhl Pyro Start Plus SL kann die Rückenhöhe eingestellt werden.
Die Einstellung an der Rückenhöhe darf nur von geschulten Fachleuten durchgeführt werden.

5.7. Sitzwinkel
Der Sitzwinkel kann durch entsprechende Höhenjustierung der Vorder – und Hinterräder eingestellt werden. Siehe hierzu Kap. 5.11.1 und 5.11.2
5.8. Bremsen
Der Rollstuhl ist serienmäßig mit Feststellbremsen zur Bedienung durch den Rollstuhlnutzer ausgestattet.
Die Feststellbremse darf nicht als Betriebsbremse verwendet werden, da aufgrund eines Sturzrisikos Lebensgefahr besteht!

Beachten Sie die Verbrennungsgefahr, die besteht, wenn sich Ihre Hände beim Abbremsen über die Greifreifen erhitzen!
5.8.1. Betätigung der Feststellbrem21. se
Die Feststellbremse darf nur zum Parken verwendet werden. Zum Abbremsen der Fahrt dienen lediglich die Greifreifen an den Antriebsrädern bzw. die optionalen Trommelbremsen für Begleitpersonen. · Beim Abbremsen über die Greifreifen deren höchsten Punkt
umfassen. Die Greifreifen zunächst zwischen Ihren Händen gleiten lassen. · Die Bremskraft langsam über die Haltekraft, die Sie auf die Greifreifen ausüben, bis zum plötzlichen Stillstand erhöhen. · Sobald der Rollstuhl steht, beide Bremshebel nach vorn drücken (Abb. 21). Der Rollstuhl steht sicher gebremst, wenn er sich nicht mehr wegschieben lässt und beide Bremshebel bis zum Anschlag nach vorne gedrückt sind. Den Hebel wieder zu Ihnen zurückziehen, um die Bremse zu lösen.
Verwenden Sie den Bremshebel niemals als Stütze – z.B. beim Übersetzen oder Aufstehen -, es besteht sonst Kipp- und Sturzgefahr! Der Hebel könnte abbrechen!
Die Feststellbremse – mit und ohne Bremshebelverlängerung – wirkt nur auf ein Antriebsrad und muss daher immer beidseitig verwendet werden!

5.9. EInhandbremse (optional)
Mit der Einhandbremse haben Sie eine Feststellbremse, bei der Sie mit Betätigen nur eines Bremshebel beide Antriebsräder abbremsen.

5.10. Trommelbremse (optional)
Der Rollstuhl kann optional mit einer Trommelbremse, die nur von einer Begleitperson über die Bremshebel an den Schiebegriffen aus zu bedienen ist, ausgerüstet werden (Abb. 25).
Einstellen der Trommelbremse Die Grundeinstellung der Trommelbremse wird an der Seilklemmschraube vorgenommen. Die Feineinstellung wird über die Stellmutter am Bremsseil vorgenommen. Wird die Stellmutter aufgedreht, verstärkt sich die Bremswirkung (Abb. 26). · Die Trommelbremsen wirken jeweils nur auf ein Antriebsrad! · Auch Trommelbremsen unterliegen einem natürlichen Verschleiß.
Bei nachlassender Bremswirkung darf der Rollstuhl nicht mehr betrieben werden. Um dies zu vermeiden, sollten Sie zu Ihrer eigenen Sicherheit die Bremsanlage vor jedem Fahrtantritt auf Funktionstüchtigkeit prüfen! · Nach Beendigung des Einstellvorganges alle Schrauben fest anziehen und eine Bremsprobe durchführen!

5.11. Räder und Bereifung
Die Sitzhöhe kann in 3 Positionen an die Anforderungen des Benutzer angepasst werden.

5.11.1. Steckachse

Der Rollstuhl verfügt serienmäßig über Steckachsen. Daher können Sie

die Antriebsräder leicht an- und abbauen.

· Mit dem Daumen auf den Arretierknopf der Steckachse drücken

· Beim Wiederanbringen einfach das Rad auf die Aufnahme stecken.

Dabei den Arretierknopf hineindrücken.

Das Einrastgeräusch der Steckachse zeigt Ihnen an, dass das Rad sicher

montiert ist. Stellen Sie nach jeder Montage sicher, dass die Räder fest

sitzen!

5.11.2. Antriebsräder
· Nehmen Sie die Antriebsräder mittels Steckachse ab. · Lösen Sie die Schrauben am Adapter und ziehen Sie sie komplett
heraus (Abb. 28). · Positionieren Sie den Adapter in der gewünschten Sitzhöhe. · Stecken Sie die Schrauben wieder in den Adapter und ziehen Sie die
Schrauben fest an.

Sofern Ihr Rollstuhl mit der Option Luftbereifung ausgestattet ist, stellen Sie den am Mantel angegebenen Reifenluftdruck an.

5.11.3. Lenkräder
29. · Lösen Sie die Achse und nehmen Sie sie komplett heraus. · Positionieren Sie das Lenkrad in der Position der gewünschten Sitzhöhe (Abb. 29). · Stecken Sie die Achse wieder in die Lenkradgabel und ziehen Sie fest. · Alternativ kann die Höhe auch durch Umdrehen der Lenklagerhalter erfolgen. Wenden Sie sich hierfür an ihren Fachhandel. · Unter der Kappe, am oberen Ende der Lenkradgabel befindet sich die Schraube mit der das Steuerkopfspiel eingestellt werden kann. an. Bei Verschleiß oder Defekt der Antriebs- oder Lenkräder beauftragen Sie Ihren Fachhändler mit der Instandsetzung!
5.12. Radstandsverlängerung
Durch die Verlängerung des Radstands wird die Stabilität und Standfestigkeit des Rollstuhls verbessert. Verringert man hingegen den Radstand, so verbessert man die Wendigkeit. Eine Verringerung des Radstands ist nur für geübte Fahrer/innen empfehlenswert. Um den Radstand einzustellen, lösen Sie den mit zwei Schrauben befestigten Adapter und bringen Sie diesen anschließend nach hinten montiert 30. wieder an (Abb. 30) Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Schrauben fest angezogen sind.
Achtung, Kippgefahr! Wenn Sie das Antriebsrad nach vorne verstellen, erhöht sich die Kippgefahr deutlich. Es sind dann Kippschutzrollen oder eine Radstandsverlängerung notwendig. Überprüfen Sie die Einstellungen zunächst mit einer Hilfsperson. Verwenden Sie nur Einstellungen, die Sie als sicher empfinden.

Bei einer Veränderung des Radstands ist ein anschließendes Einstellen der Feststellbremse unbedingt erforderlich!

5.13. Ankipphilfe
Um einer Begleitperson das Überwinden von Hindernissen wie Bordsteinkanten zu erleichtern, kann die Ankipphilfe benutzt werden. Halten Sie den Rollstuhl mit beiden Händen an den Schiebegriffen fest. Drücken Sie mit einem Fuß auf eine der Ankipphilfen und drücken Sie gleichzeitig mit den Händen nach unten (Abb. 31). Das Ankippen kann durch die Antikipprollen begrenzt werden.
5.14. Antikipprollen (optional)
Die Antikipprollen verhindern das Umkippen des Rollstuhls nach hinten. Die Rollen der Antikipprollen müssen dabei einen Abstand von ca. 3050 mm vom Boden haben (Abb. 32). Besonders empfehlenswert sind die Antikipprollen bei ungeübten Rollstuhlfahrern oder bei beinamputierten Rollstuhlfahrern.

5.15. Kopfstütze (optional)
Die Kopfstütze wird auf die Schiebegriffe geschraubt. Nach Lösen der Klemmhebel- bzw. Sternschraube können Sie die Kopfstütze in ihrer Position einstellen. Ziehen Sie danach die Schrauben fest an.
5.16. Rückenlehne
33. Um Ihnen ein komfortables Sitzen zu ermöglichen, lässt sich die Härte der Rückenlehnenbespannung einstellen. Je straffer Sie die Rückenlehnenbespannung einstellen, desto härter fühlt sich die Rückenlehne an. Entfernen Sie zunächst die mit einer Klettverbindung angebrachte Rückenpolsterung. Anschließend können Sie die einzelnen Gurte straffer bzw. weniger straff ziehen (Abb. 33). Um bestimmte Regionen Ihres Rückens zu entlasten, spannen Sie dort die Gurte etwas lockerer. Nun müssen Sie das Rückenpolster wieder mit der Klettverbindung befestigen.
5.17. Einhandbedienung (optional)
Mit der Einhandbedienung haben Sie zwei Greifringe an einem Rad, somit können Sie mit einer Hand beide Antriebsräder antreiben. Die Option kann entweder links oder rechts montiert werden.
5.18. Passivbeleuchtung
Ihr Rollstuhl ist serienmäßig mit Reflektoren auf der Rückseite und an den Speichen ausgestattet. Diese dürfen nicht verdeckt werden.

6. Zubehör
6.1. Beckengurt (optional)
Ein Beckengurt kann optional geordert werden und sichert Benutzer, die nicht über den notwendigen Halt im Rollstuhl verfügen. · Das Seitenteil entfernen oder abschwenken (s. Kap. 5.5). · Das auf beiden Seiten das offene Ende des Gurtes einmal um das
Seitenrahmenrohr schlagen. · Fixieren Sie das Gurtband anschließend mit der Gurtschnalle. · Die Gurtlänge können Sie mit Hilfe der verschiebbaren Gurtlasche
am Gurt einstellen. · Das Öffnen und Schließen des Gurtes erfolgt an der
Verschlusslasche. · Während der Benutzung des Rollstuhls muß der Beckengurt stets
angelegt und geschlossen sein.

6.2. Therapietisch (optional)
Der Tisch wird einfach von vorn auf die Armlehnen aufgeschoben. Zum Entfernen des Therapietischs ziehen Sie diesen einfach wieder heraus.

6.3. Togo (optional)
An Ihren Rollstuhl kann die elektrische Schiebehilfe Togo montiert werden. Alle relevanten Information zur Montage und Bedienung entnehmen Sie gegebenenfalls der Bedienungsanleitung der Togo Schiebehilfe.

6.4. Stockhalter (optional)
Stellen Sie den Stock in den Stockhalter und fixieren Sie ihn dann mit dem Halteband, welches an der Rückenlehne montiert ist.

Steigen Sie niemals auf den Stockhalter und nutzen Sie ihn niemals als Ankipphilfe.
6.5. Speichenschutz (optional)
Der Speichenschutz wird mit Kabelbindern an den Speichen befestigt.
6.6. Greifreifenüberzug (optional)
Stülpen Sie den Greifreifenüberzug über den Greifreifen, um mehr Halt auf dem Greifreifen zu erhalten, zum Beispiel wenn Ihre Handkraft eingeschränkt ist.
Mit dem besseren Halt steigt die Gefahr für starkes Bremsen. Achtung Sturzgefahr!
6.7. Infusions- / Oxygenflaschenhalter (optional)
Der Infusions-/Oxygenflaschenhalter wird auf das Rückenrohr geschoben und am Rücken Ihres Rollstuhls befestigt. Achtung bei erhöhter Zuladung durch Oxygenflaschen steigt auch das Risiko für ein Umkippen des Rollstuhls nach hinten. Die Verwendung von Antikipprollen wird dringend empfohlen.
6.8. Taschenmitnahme (optional)
Wenn Sie eine Tasche an Ihrem Rollstuhl anbringen möchten, hängen Sie die Schlaufen Ihrer Tasche über die Rückenrohre Ihres Rollstuhls.
Beachten Sie, dass die Reflektoren nicht verdeckt sein dürfen.

Achtung bei erhöhter Zuladung der Tasche steigt auch das Risiko, dass Ihr Rollstuhl nach hinten umkippt. Die Verwendung von Antikipprollen wird dringend empfohlen.
7. Benutzung
7.1. Ein- und Aussteigen von der Seite
Steigen Sie niemals auf die Fußplatte/n, es besteht Kippgefahr!
· Den Rollstuhl und die gegenwärtige bzw. künftige Sitzfläche möglichst dicht seitlich aneinander heranbringen.
· Sollten Sie aus einem anderen Rollstuhl oder Zimmeruntergestell umsteigen wollen, sichern Sie diesen/dieses durch Betätigung der Feststellbremsen.
· Den Rollstuhl mit der Feststellbremse sichern (s. Kap. 5.8). · Ggf. die Armlehne nach hinten wegschwenken bzw. das Seitenteil
abnehmen (s. Kap. 5.5). · Beide Fußplatten nach oben klappen, zur Seite abschwenken und
abnehmen (s. Kap. 5.2). · Seitlich auf die andere Sitzfläche rutschen. Dabei so weit hinten wie
möglich sitzen. · Die Beinstützen wieder in die Ausgangsposition bewegen. · Gegebenenfalls die Seitenteile wieder arretieren.

7.2. Ein- und Aussteigen von vorn
Steigen Sie niemals auf die Fußplatte/n, es besteht Kippgefahr!
· Die Beinstützen abnehmen (s. Kap. 5.2). · Den Rollstuhl und die gegenwärtige bzw. künftige Sitzgelegenheit
möglichst dicht frontal aneinander heranbringen und die Feststellbremsen beidseitig betätigen (s. Kap. 5.8). · Sollten Sie aus einem anderen Rollstuhl oder Zimmeruntergestell umsteigen wollen, auch diesen/dieses durch Betätigung der Feststellbremsen sichern. · Nun durch eine Körperdrehung auf die Sitzfläche rutschen. · Abschließend die Beinstützen wieder in die Ausgangsposition zurückhängen und die Fußplatten herunterklappen.
7.3. Treppe oder hohe Stufe überwinden
Als Haltepunkte dienen ausschließlich der Rahmen und die Schiebegriffe.
Die Helfer greifen nur an fest montierte Rahmenteile (Abb. 34). Um eine Treppe hinaufzufahren, zieht der hintere Helfer den Rollstuhl an den fest montierten Griffen rückwärts die Stufen hinauf. Der untere Helfer greift an den vorderen Rahmenrohren und stabilisiert den Rollstuhl. Dabei drückt er die Hinterräder des Rollstuhls an die Stufen. Beim Herunterfahren bremst der untere Helfer, indem er den Rollstuhl 34. gerade an die Stufen drückt. Der obere Helfer hält den Rollstuhl an den Schiebegriffen, sichert ihn und hält ihn in der richtigen Position. Der Rollstuhl soll Stufe für Stufe herunterrollen.
Bei Hindernissen und Treppen mit mehr als drei Stufen müssen zwei Begleitpersonen helfen.

7.4. Fahren mit dem Rollstuhl

· Setzen Sie sich in Ihren Bischoff & Bischoff Rollstuhl. Achten Sie

darauf, dass Sie so weit wie möglich hinten sitzen.

Führen Sie die ersten Fahrversuche vorsichtig durch, bis Sie sich an den

Rollstuhl und sein Fahrverhalten gewöhnt haben. Rollstühle haben nur

eine eingeschränkte Kipp- und Rutschsicherheit. Besondere Vorsicht ist

geboten beim Bremsen, Anfahren oder Wenden an Steigungen bzw.

Gefällen. Extremes Herauslehnen aus dem Rollstuhl vergrößert zudem

die Kippgefahr. Ein Kippschutz verringert diese Gefahr. Um Hindernisse

leichter zu überwinden, kann die Begleitperson den Rollstuhl ankippen

(s. Kap. 5.13).

Beachten Sie, dass sich die Kippgefahr nach hinten durch das Anhängen von Taschen und Rucksäcken deutlich erhöht.

9. Transport
9.1. Transport des Rollstuhls
Um den Rollstuhl für den Transport so handlich wie möglich zu machen, entfernen Sie alle abnehmbaren Teile (Beinstützen, Antriebsräder, Armlehnen, einsteckbare Zubehörteile, s. Kap. 5). Für den Transport im 36. Kraftfahrzeug ist der Rollstuhl zu falten (Abb. 36).
9.2. Beförderung in Kraftfahrzeugen
Ob Ihr Rollstuhl als Sitz im Kraftfahrzeug zur Beförderung mobilitätsbehinderter Personen (KMP) zugelassen ist oder nicht, können Sie anhand der Symbole auf dem Typenschild am Produkt (s. KAP. 4.3) erkennen: Rollstuhl als Sitz im Kraftfahrzeug zur Beförderung mobilitätsbehinderter 37. Personen geeignet (Abb. 37). Rollstuhl nicht als Sitz im Kraftfahrzeug zur Beförderung mobilitätsbehinderter Personen geeignet (Abb. 38).

10. Pflegehinweise für den Benutzer
10.1. Reinigung und Desinfektion
Die Reinigung der Sitz- und Rückenmaterialien kann mit warmem Wasser unter Zuhilfenahme eines Schwammes und/oder einer weichen Bürste vorgenommen werden. Bei hartnäckiger Verschmutzung kann dem Wasser ein handelsübliches Reinigungsmittel zugesetzt werden.
Hinweis: Verwenden Sie keinesfalls aggressive Reinigungsmittel, wie z.B. Lösungs- / Scheuermittel oder harte Bürsten.
Kunststoffteile pflegen Sie am besten mit einem handelsüblichen Kunststoffreiniger. Beachten Sie bitte die Produktinformationen des Reinigungsmittels. · Kunststoffverkleidungen werden durch nichtionische Tenside und Lösungsmittel, insbesondere Alkohole angegriffen! · Die Rahmenteile des Rollstuhls mit einem feuchten Tuch
abwischen. Bei stärkeren Verschmutzungen zusätzlich ein mildes Reinigungsmittel verwenden. · Die Räder mit einer feuchten Bürste mit Kunststoffborsten reinigen (keine Drahtbürste verwenden!). Verwenden Sie keinen Hochdruckreiniger. · Schiebegriffe, Armpolster, Sitz- und Rückenpolster mit einem milden Reinigungsmittel abwaschen. · Polsterteile können maschinell bei 40°C gewaschen werden. Nicht maschinell trocken, nur Trocknung bei Raumtemperatur.
10.2. Desinfektion
Vor der Desinfektion muss der Rollator gründlich gereinigt werden. Der Rollstuhl ist mit einem haushaltsüblichen Desinfektionsmittel desinfizierbar. Verwenden Sie zugelassene Sprüh-Desinfektionsmittel oder Wisch-Desinfektionsmittel auf alkoholischer Basis.

· Im Fall von mehreren Produktanwendern, ist ein handelsübliches Desinfektionsmittel vorgeschrieben.
· Verwenden Sie nur die vom Robert Koch Institut (RKI) und beim Verbund für Angewandte Hygiene e.V. zugelassenen Wischdesinfektionsmittel (z.B. Bacillol AF oder Kohrsolin FF); Einwirkzeit und Konzentration siehe Herstellerempfehlung.
· Achtung: Beschädigte Polsterteile können nicht hinreichend desinfiziert werden. Diese sollten ausgetauscht werden.
· Durch Desinfektionsmittel können unter Umständen die Oberflächen in Mitleidenschaft gezogen werden. Längerfristige Einschränkungen der Funktionsfähigkeit kann die Folge sein.

Achtung Infektionsgefahr! Bei mehreren Benutzern ist nach jeder Benutzung der Rollstuhl zu reinigen.
10.3. Überprüfung vor Fahrtantritt
10.3.1. Überprüfung der Bremsen
Überprüfen Sie vor jedem Fahrtantritt die Funktionstüchtigkeit der Bremsanlage. Bei angezogenen Feststellbremsen kann der Rollstuhl auf trockener Unterlage nicht weggeschoben werden. Bei gelösten Bremsen fährt der Rollstuhl ohne Schleifgeräusche und mit gutem Geradeauslauf. Trifft dieses Verhalten nicht zu, verständigen Sie sofort Ihren Fachhändler und stellen Sie die Nutzung bis zur Instandsetzung ein.
10.3.2. Überprüfung der Bereifung
Überprüfen Sie vor jedem Fahrtantritt die Reifen auf Unversehrtheit Sofern Sie Luftbereifung haben stellen Sie den auf dem Reifen angegebenen Luftdruck ein.

11. Reparaturen
Reparaturen und Instandhaltungsmaßnahmen dürfen nur von autorisierten Partnern (Sanitätshäuser oder Fachhändler) durchgeführt werden. Einen Partner in Ihrer Nähe erfragen Sie bitte telefonisch bei unserem Kundenservice. Die Kontaktdaten finden Sie auf der Rückseite dieser Bedinungsanleitung.
12. Wartungshinweise
Typische Verschleißteile sind Bremsen und Reifen. Wenden Sie sich für Ersatzteile an Ihren Fachhändler. Wir empfehlen, dass Sie Ihren Rollstuhl mindestens einmal im Jahr Ihrem Fachhändler zur Inspektion übergeben. Übergeben Sie den Rollstuhl bei Störungen oder Defekten unverzüglich Ihrem Fachhändler zur Instandsetzung. Dem Fachhändler werden auf Anfrage die notwendigen Informationen und Unterlagen für die Reparatur und Instandsetzung zur Verfügung gestellt. Der Rollstuhl muss gemäß Wartungsplan geprüft werden und einwandfrei sein.
13. Wartungshinweise für den Fachhandel
Die Wartungen sind gemäß dem Bischoff & Bischoff Wartungsplan durchzuführen. Auf Wunsch wird ein Wartungsplan zur Verfügung gestellt. Auch ein Schulungsprogramm für den Fachhandel steht zur Verfügung.

14. Weitergabe des Rollstuhls
Der Rollstuhl ist für einen Wiedereinsatz geeignet. Bevor er an einen anderen Nutzer weitergegeben wird, ist er durch einen Fachhändler zu warten und hygienisch aufzubereiten. Bei der Weitergabe des Rollstuhls denken Sie bitte daran, diese Bedienungsanleitung und die Anschrift Ihres Fachhändlers dem neuen Nutzer zu übergeben.
15. Lagerung / Versand
Falls der Rollstuhl eingelagert oder versendet werden soll, müssen alle einsteckbaren und nicht befestigten Teile, außer den Antriebsrädern, entfernt und in passenden Kartons einzeln verpackt werden. Die einzeln verpackten Teile können dann zusammen in einem größeren Karton verpackt werden. Empfehlenswert ist es, die Originalverpackung aufzubewahren und für diese Zwecke einzulagern, so, dass sie im Bedarfsfall verfügbar ist. Dann ist Ihr Rollstuhl während der Lagerung oder des Transportes optimal gegen Umwelteinflüsse geschützt. Für die Lagerung Ihres Rollstuhls beachten Sie bitte die Angaben in den technischen Daten. Um Schimmelbildung und eine Beschädigung der Polsterteile zu vermeiden, sollte der Lagerort möglichst trocken und nicht direktem Sonnenlicht ausgesetzt sein.
16. Entsorgung
Wenn Ihr Rollstuhl nicht mehr verwendet wird und entsorgt werden soll, wenden Sie sich an Ihren Fachhändler.
Wenn Sie die Entsorgung selber übernehmen möchten, erkundigen Sie sich bei ortsansässigen Recyclingunternehmen nach den Vorschriften Ihres Wohnortes.

17. Garantie
1. Für die von Bischoff & Bischoff gelieferten Produkte beträgt die Gewährleistungsfrist 24 Monate ab Kaufdatum. Die Produkte werden frei von Fabrikations- und Materialmängeln geliefert. Sofern nachweislich ein Werkstoff- bzw. Herstellungsfehler vorliegt, werden schadhafte Teile kostenlos ersetzt. 2. Ansprüche aus der Gewährleistung entfallen, wenn eine Reparatur oder ein Ersatz des Produktes oder eines Teiles aus den folgenden Gründen erforderlich ist: a) Normaler Verschleiß, dazu gehören insbesondere folgende Teile, sofern verbaut: Batterien, Motorkohlen, Handgriffe, Armauflagen, Polsterung, Reifen, Bremsen, Kappen etc. b) Überlastung des Produkts wie z.B. eine Überschreitung des maximalen Nutzergewichts oder der Zuladung. c) Das Produkt oder das Teil wurde nicht gemäß der Bedienungsanleitung, den Pflege- und Hygienehinweisen oder den, in den Wartungshinweisen aufgeführten Empfehlungen des Herstellers gepflegt oder gewartet. d) Es wurde Zubehör verwendet, bei dem es sich nicht um Originalzubehör handelte. e) Das Produkt oder ein Teil wurde durch Nachlässigkeit, Unfall oder unsachgemäße Verwendung beschädigt. f) Es wurden Änderungen / Modifikationen am Produkt oder an Teilen durchgeführt, die von den Herstellervorgaben abweichen. g) Es wurden Reparaturen durchgeführt, bevor unser Kundendienst über den jeweiligen Sachverhalt informiert wurde. 3. Zur Geltendmachung der Gewährleistung benachrichtigen Sie bitte umgehend Ihren Fachhändler, mit einer genauen Beschreibung des Problems. Das Produkt muss von einem von Bischoff & Bischoff autorisierten Fachhändler repariert werden. 4. Für Teile, die im Rahmen der Gewährleistung repariert oder getauscht werden, verlängert sich die Gewährleistung, auf die für das Produkt verbleibende Gewährleistungsdauer gemäß Ziffer 1. 5. Auf Originalersatzteile, die auf Kosten des Kunden eingebaut wurden, wird nach dem Einbau eine Garantie von 12 Monaten gewährt.

6. Schlägt die Nachbesserung nach angemessener Frist fehl, kann der Käufer nach seiner Wahl Herabsetzung der Vergütung verlangen oder vom Vertrag zurücktreten. 7. Die Gewährleistung unterliegt dem Recht des Landes, in dem das Bischoff & Bischoff Produkt gekauft wurde. Darüber hinaus beachten Sie bitte die Bischoff & Bischoff Pflege-, Gewährleistungs-, Hygiene- und Wartungshinweise. Diese werden Ihnen von Ihrem Fachhändler gerne zur Verfügung gestellt. Für Austauschgeräte und Reparaturen gilt eine Gewährleistungsfrist von einem Jahr.

This user manual contains all the information necessary to operate the Pyro Start Plus / Pyro Start Plus SL wheelchairs. The Pyro Start Plus SL model allows greater adaptability for larger individuals due to the larger seat height, seat depth and backrest height. Your wheelchair was designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Before using your new wheelchair for the first time, please read and follow the information in this user manual carefully. 2. Important safety information 2.1. General safety information

· To avoid falls and dangerous situations, practise using your new

wheelchair on level, manageable terrain first. An accompanying

person is recommended.

· Before using the wheelchair, check that all attached parts are

properly fastened.

· Only lift the wheelchair by firmly mounted parts (see chapter 7.3).

· When shifting balance due to body movements or loading the

wheelchair, the risk of tipping to all sides increases.

· Do not use the wheelchair to transport more than one person or

loads. Observe the intended use (see chapter 3)!

· When adjusting and setting the wheelchair, there is a risk

of trapping body parts!

· Keep clothing and body parts away from gaps between moving

parts!

· When negotiating obstacles (steps, etc.), have an attendant present.

Use the tipping aid (see chapter 5.14) (Fig. A).

· Only climb stairs and larger obstacles with the help of at least two

escorts (see chapter 7.3). Use facilities such as ramps, lifts or stair-

climbing aids – if available (Fig. B).

· When driving on a slope/gradient, note that there is a risk of

tipping over from just a few degrees. The use of an anti-tipper (see

chapter 5.14) is recommended (Fig. C).

· When getting in or out of the wheelchair, apply both parking brakes

(see chapter 5.8.1).

· The brake function must be checked for proper operation before

each journey.

· In road traffic, observe the road traffic regulations.

· Each time, before setting off, check the reflectors of your wheelchair to make sure they are not damaged and are visible for other road users.
· Only use the parking brakes when parking. · The seating materials are frame resistant in accordance with EN
1021-2. However, please keep cigarettes and other possible ignition sources away from your product. · Protect the wheelchair from sunlight to avoid burns caused by heated components · Observe the storage and operating conditions (see Chapter 15). · When transferring between the wheelchair and the bed (see Chapter 7.1 and 7.2) always · apply both parking brakes · flip footplate up or swing the legrests away. · If the seat width/seat depth combination is inappropriate, this may lead to limitations in accessing escape routes. · The dimensions of the Pyro Start Plus SL wheelchair exceed the recommended values in DIN EN 12183:2014/A.1 and PRM TSI Appendix M for dimensions and manoeuvring range.
Attention: Due to the dimensions of the wheelchair, it is necessary to check whether your wheelchair can also be moved in the planned environment. This applies in particular to the use of escape routes.
· Reporting of incidents. If you, as the operator, user or their relatives, discover possible defects or functional limitations, please contact an authorised specialist dealer immediately. Operators, users or their relatives should inform their specialist dealer who provided them with the product of any suspected serious incidents that have directly or indirectly had one of the following consequences or could have and by which they are affected. They can also report this to the competent higher federal authority.
· The death of a patient, user or other person, · The temporary or permanent severe,

2.2. Risk of tipping over
If fitted, the anti-tip wheels which are fitted on both sides (see Chapter 5.15) will largely prevent the wheelchair from tipping over backwards. However please note that driving with anti-tip wheels is only possible in a limited way on ground with different levels, lift platforms and E ramps. Make sure there is sufficient gap at the top, bottom and sides.

2.3. Safety in vehicles
To see whether your wheelchair is permitted for use as a seat in a vehicle for transporting individuals with impaired mobility or not, you can refer to the symbols on the product’s identification label (see Chapter 4.3). Wheelchair is designed for use as a seat in a vehicle for transporting individuals with impaired mobility (Fig. D). Wheelchair is not designed for use as a seat in a vehicle for transporting individuals with impaired mobility (Fig. E). If your wheelchair is not designed to be used as a seat in a vehicle, under no circumstances must it be used as such. It does not fulfil the requirements in compliance with ISO 7176-19. Violation can cause the most serious injuries resulting in death in the case of an accident (Fig. E).

2.4. Use on roads
The wheelchair is designed for indoor and outdoor use. Please note that when you drive on public roads you must comply with road traffic regulations. Do not endanger other users through reckless driving, this applies particularly on pavements.
2.5. Brakes
Operating brake: When driving, brake the wheelchair using the handrims. Please note that your hands may heat up during this process. (see chapter 5.8). Parking brake/parking: As soon as the wheelchair is stationary, push both brake levers forward. The wheelchair is safely braked when it can no longer be pushed away and both brake levers are pushed forward as far as they will go. Pull the lever back towards you to release the brake (see chap. 5.8.1). Drum brake: The wheelchair can optionally be equipped with a drum brake, that can only be operated by an attendant via the brake levers on the push handles.
3. Intended use
The wheelchair is designed to increase the mobility only for grown up people who have difficulty walking with the indications specified (see Chapter 2.6). The maximum user weight for the: Pyro Start Plus of 125 kg Pyro Start Plus SL of 150 kg must not be exceeded. Please note: We can only provide a warranty if the product is used under the conditions specified and for the intended purposes.

3.1. Indications
Provision of a wheelchair is intended for grown up people who are unable to walk or who have severely impaired mobility, e.g. through: · paralyses · loss of limbs · limb defects/deformity · joint contractions (not on both arms) · joint damage (not on both arms) · other illnesses Provision of an SL wheelchair may be considered if the height of the user is greater than 185 cm and a standard wheelchair can no longer provide the adjustability required.
3.2. Contraindications
Provision of wheelchairs is not suitable for individuals who have: · no capability to sit · joint damage/contractions on both arms · perceptual disorders · severe equilibrium disorders · loss of limbs on both arms · reduced and insufficient vision · severe limitations of cognitive abilities
3.3. Declaration of conformity
We, as Bischoff & Bischoff GmbH, declare under sole responsibility, that the Pyro Start Plus /Pyro Start Plus SL wheelchair meets all requirements of MDR 2017/745, which are applicable.

3.4. Liability
We can only provide a warranty if · the product is used under the conditions specified and for the
intended purpose. · Modifications, enhancements, repairs and maintenance work is
carried out only by those individuals who have been authorised by us to do so, and · the wheelchair is used in accordance with the instructions for use.
3.5. Service life
The expected product service life is up to five years. Prerequisites for this are proper use as well as compliance with the safety, care and maintenance information in accordance with this user manual.

4. Product and scope of delivery
4.1. Checking the delivered goods
All products from Bischoff und Bischoff GmbH undergo an appropriate final inspection at our factory and the CE mark is affixed (see Chapter 3.3). The wheelchair will be delivered in a special cardboard box. After unpacking, retain the cardboard box if possible. It can be used for possible later storage or return of the product. Delivery and induction is usually carried out by a qualified medical equipment retailer. When sending by train or shipping company, the goods must be checked immediately for transport damage in the presence of the forwarding agent. Check that the delivery is complete and undamaged (see Chapter 3.2). In the case of anomalies or damage, contact our Customer service. You can find the contact details on the back cover of this user manual.
4.2. Scope of delivery
On receiving the goods, please immediately check that the delivery is complete. The delivery consists of: · packing, · wheelchair (preassembled), · legrests · this user manual · any necessary accessories

5. Assembly/Adjustments
Your new Bischoff & Bischoff wheelchair will be delivered in a Bischoff & Bischoff original cardboard box, assembled and folded. In order to avoid transport damage, detachable attachments are delivered separately with the product. Refer to the technical data to see which options are possible on your 3. wheelchair (see Chapter 7).

5.1. Folding and unfolding

Unfolding

· Position the folding wheelchair next to you. (Fig. 3)

· Tip the wheelchair towards you until the weight is off one of the

drive wheels.

· Push the seat tubes apart and push them down with the flat of

your hand, until they lock into place in the bracket on the frame

(Fig. 4).

3 · The seat pad must be completely unfolded.

· Apply the left and right parking brakes on the drive wheels.

· Fit the legrests.

· You can now sit down

Folding

· Position the folding wheelchair next to you. 5. · Flip the footplates up (Fig. 5)

· Remove the seat cushion if one is fitted, take hold of the front and

rear of the seat upholstery and pull it up.

When folding and unfolding, watch your fingers as there is a risk of pinching.

5.2. Legrests

5.2.1. Swing-away legrests

You can flip the footplates up separately to the side and adjust to the

lower leg length of the user. You can remove the legrests, swing them

away and refit them without needing to use tools.

Attach legrests

· Hold the top of the legrest so that it is pointing outwards.

· Guide the legrest into the hole in the frame using the guide bolts

(Fig. 6).

· Swing the legrest to the front until you hear it clearly click into

place (Fig. 6)

· Flip the footplate down if necessary.

Swing the legrests away and remove them

In order to make it easier to transfer to and from your folding 7.

wheelchair, you can swing the legrests inwards or outwards, without

having to remove them.

· Flip the footplate up if necessary.

· Pull the handle upwards (Fig. 7) and swing the legrest outwards

(Fig. 8).

· In the outward position, the legrest can be pulled out by pulling it

upwards (Fig. 8).

Before setting off, fit the legrests as described above.

Never stand on the footplate and when swinging it away, watch your fingers as there is a risk of pinching.

5.2.2. Adjusting the legrests
Loosen the screws, then adjust the legrest to the required length and re-tighten the screws (Fig. 9).
5.3. Angle-adjustable footplates
9. The angle of the footplates can be adjusted: · Unscrew the hexagon screw at the sprocket (see Fig. 10) Move the footplate to the required position by rotating the sprocket. · Re-tighten the sprocket screw (see Fig. 10).
5.3.1. Elevating legrests (optional)
Assemble, disassemble and swing them away as for the standard 10. legrests.
To adjust, undo the clamp lever, then adjust the legrest to the required length and then tighten the clamp lever. The horizontal adjustment works as follows: Upwards · by lifting the footplate receiver tube you can get the legrest into
the required position. Downwards · Pull locking lever upwards 11. · When doing this, hold the legrest firmly and move to the required
position · Release locking lever; legrest locks into place automatically.

5.4. Amputee legrests (optional)
Assembly is the same as for the standard leg supports (chapter 5.2.1.). The lower leg length can be adjusted once by loosening the screws on the side of the amputation leg support (1.) and moving the calf pad to the desired position. There is another possibility to adjust the lower leg and thigh length by remounting the calf pad with the socket screws on the back. For horizontal adjustment, simply pull the calf pad upwards. 13. To reset, pull the clamping lever (Fig. 14). Once the correct position has been reached, release the clamping lever. The calf pad can also be swivelled without tools and folded outwards to save space (Fig. 13). Disassembly (Fig. 15) is done by pulling the knob (1.), then swinging it out (2.) and pulling the amputation leg support upwards (3.).

5.5. Sideguards
5.5.1. Standard sideguard
· In order to be able to transfer more easily, both sideguards with armrests can be swung backwards.
· Pull the locking lever gently and at the same time, swing the sideguard to the back (Fig. 16).
· To lock the sideguard, flip it forwards and click it into place on the armrest using gentle pressure.
· The arm pads on the sideguards are fitted in the central position when delivered.
· They can be fitted in either the front or rear positions. · The sideguard can be height-adjusted in four steps, to do this
remove the screw under the armrest, mount the spacers in such order reaching the desired height and re-tighten.

When swinging the sideguards away, make sure that clothing or other items cannot be trapped. Before using for the first time, check that the sideguards are firmly in place!
Never use the sideguards to carry the wheelchair!

5.5.2. Height and depth-adjustable sideguards (optional)
As an option, your wheelchair can be fitted with height and depthadjustable sideguards. The sideguard can be removed and swung away.
Height adjustment · Pull the locking lever to move the armrest to the required position
(Fig. 17). · When you have reached the position required, then release the
lever. The lock clicks into place. · The height has been correctly selected if the upper arm and forearm
are approximately at right angles to one another when the forearm is resting on the armrest.
Depth adjustment · Press the knob on the side of the armrest and push the armrest to
the required position (Fig. 18). · Release the knob and move the armrest gently forwards or
backwards until it clicks into place. Remove side panel To remove the side panel, first swing the side panel upwards by pressing button 1. The side panel can then be pulled upwards by pulling button 2 (Fig. 19).

5.5.3. Removable side panel (optional)
To remove the side panel, first remove the side panel by pressing the button 1 upwards. The side panel can then be pulled upwards by pulling button 2 (Fig. 20).

5.6. Backrest height
The Pyro Start Plus SL backrest is height adjustable.
Adjusting the backrest height must only be carried out by trained personnel.
5.7. Seat angle
The seat angle can be adjusted by adjusting the height of the front and rear wheels. See chap. 5.11.1 and 5.11.2
5.8. Brakes
As standard, the wheelchair is fitted with parking brakes to be operated by the wheelchair user.
The parking brakes must not be used as operational brakes, as there is a risk of death due to the risk of falling!
Please note that there is a risk of burns if your hands heat up when braking using the handrims!

5.8.1. Operating the parking brake
The parking brake must only be used for parking. To slow down while driving, you must only use the drive wheel handrims or the optional drum brakes for attendant. · When braking using the handrims, hold the highest point. First let
the handrims slide through your hands. 21. · Slowly increase the braking force by exerting gripping force on the
handrims, until you come to an abrupt stop. · As soon as the wheelchair has stopped, push both brake levers
forward (Fig. 21). The wheelchair is securely braked when it can no longer be pushed and both brake levers are pushed forward to the stop position. Pull the lever towards you to release the brake.
Never use the brake lever as a support – e.g. when transferring or standing up -, otherwise there is a risk of tipping over and falling! The lever could break off!
The parking brake – with or without brake lever extension – only works on one drive wheel and must therefore always be used on both sides!

5.8.2.Adjusting the parking brakes
Adjusting the brakes must only be carried out by trained personnel. Please bear in mind that if the brakes are set incorrectly this can have lifethreatening consequences.

The drum brake does not replace the parking brake.
· Mount the brake in a position which is operable and offers secure braking in all driving situations.
· To adjust the gap, undo the two socket screws on the brake bracket (Fig. 22).
· Then push the brake system to the correct position along the bracket.
· Finally re-tighten the two socket screws. · Make sure that the brakes click into place when operating the lever
and that they don’t snap back.

5.8.3. Operating the parking brake with the brake lever extension
The procedure for operating the parking brake with the brake lever extension is the same as operating the parking brake (see Chapter 5.8.1). Folding the brake lever extension in 23. · The brake lever can be folded in when driving or transferring to the
side. · Pull the plastic grip out of the lever (Fig. 23). · Fold the plastic grip down (Fig. 24). · Before setting off, the brake must returned to its operational
position by following the procedure in reverse order.

5.9. One-hand brake (optional)
Using the one-hand brake, you have a parking brake which you can use to brake both drive wheels using a brake lever.

5.10. Drum brake (optional)

As an option, the wheelchair can be fitted with a drum brake which can only be operated by an attendant using the brake lever on the push handles (Fig. 25).

Adjusting the drum brake

Basic setup for the drum brake is carried out on the cable clamping

screw. Fine adjustment is carried out using the adjusting nut on the 25.

brake cable. Unscrewing the adjustment nut will increase the braking

effect (Fig. 26).

· Drum brakes only work on one drive wheel at a time!

· Drum brakes are also subject to natural wear. If the braking effect

decreases, the wheelchair must no longer be used. In order to avoid

this happening, for your own safety you should check that the

brakes are working properly each time before setting off!

· Once you have finished the adjustment, re-tighten all screws and

carry out a brake test!

5.11. Wheels and tyres
The seat height can be adjusted to 3 positions to meet the user’s requirements.

5.11.1. Quick-release axle
As standard the wheelchair has quick-release axles. This means you can easily remove and refit the drive wheels. · Push the lock of the quick-release axle using your thumbs and pull
the wheel off (Fig. 27). · When refitting, simply put the wheel onto the receiver. When doing
this, push the locking knob in. The click you will hear from the quick-release axle will indicate that the wheel is securely mounted. After fitting, make sure that the wheels are tight!
5.11.2. Drive wheels
· Remove the drive wheels using the quick-release axles. · Undo the screws on the adapter and pull them off completely (Fig.
28). · Position the adapter to the required seat height. · Insert the screws back into the adapter and re-tighten the screws.

If your wheelchair has the optional pneumatic tyres, pump the wheel to the pressure according the value on the tyre’s wall.

Please contact your dealer in case of puncher in your pneumatic tyres.

5.11.3. Castors

· Undo the axle and remove it completely.

· Position the castor in the position for the required seat height (Fig.

29).

· Put the axle back into the castor fork and tighten.

· Alternatively, the height can also be adjusted by rotating the castor

bearing bracket. Please contact your dealer to do this.

· The screw which is used to adjust the play in the steering head is

located under the cap at the upper end of the castor fork.

If the drive wheel or castor is worn or defective, ask

your dealer to service them!

5.12. Wheelbase extension
The wheelchair’s stability and steadiness is improved by extending the wheelbase. Conversely, if the wheelbase is reduced, the manoeuvrability is improved. Reducing the wheelbase is only recommended for experienced riders. To adjust the wheelbase, undo the adapter which is held with two screws and then move this backwards and re-tighten (pic. 30). Make sure that all screws are firmly tightened.

Attention: risk of tipping over! If you move the drive wheel forwards, then the risk of tipping over increases significantly. Anti-tip wheels or a wheelbase extension are required. Check the settings first with an assistant. Only use settings which you consider to be safe.

If the wheelbase is changed, then it is essential to adjust the parking brake as well!

31. 5.13. Tipping aids

In order to make it easier for an attendant to negotiate obstacles such

as kerb edges, tipping aids can be used. Hold the wheelchair firmly

with both hands on the push handles. Press one foot onto one of the

tipping aids and at the same time push the hands down (Fig. 31).

Tipping may be restricted by the anti-tip wheels.

32. 5.14. Anti-tip wheels (optional)
The anti-tip wheels prevent the wheelchair from tipping over backwards. There must be a gap between the rollers of the anti-tip wheels and the ground of approx. 30-50 mm (Fig. 32). Anti-tip wheels are particularly recommended for inexperienced wheelchair users or amputees.

For safety reasons, always use the anti-tip wheels as a pair!

5.15. Headrest (optional)
The headrest is mounted on the push handles. After undoing the clamp lever or the star screw you can adjust the headrest to the right position. Then re-tighten the screws.

5.16. Adjustable backrest
To enable you to sit comfortably, the hardness of the backrest can be adjusted. The tighter you adjust the backrest, the harder the backrest feels. First remove the backrest upholstery that is attached with a Velcro fastener. Then you can tighten or loosen the individual straps (Fig. 33). To relieve the strain on certain areas of your back, tighten the straps a little looser. Now you must fasten the backrest upholstery again with the Velcro fastener.
5.17. One-hand operation (optional)
With one-hand operation you have both handrims on one wheel, so that you can operate both drive wheels with one hand. The option can be fitted either left or right.
5.18. Reflectors
As standard your wheelchair is fitted with reflectors on the back and spokes. These must not be covered.

6. Accessories
6.1. Lap belt (optional)
You can order a lap belt as an option and this will secure users who do not have the required stability in the wheelchair. · Remove the sideguard or swing it away (see Chapter 5.5). · On both open ends, wrap the belt once round the sideframe tube. · Then fix the belt strap with the buckle. · You can adjust the belt length using the sliding tabs on the belt. · Use the fastening clip to open and close the belt.
6.2. Therapy table (optional)
The table is simply pushed into the armrest from the front. To remove the therapy table, simply pull it back out.
6.3. Togo (optional)
An electrical Togo pushing & braking aid can be fitted to your wheelchair. If required, see the Togo pushing & braking aid user manual for all relevant information on assembling and use.
6.4. Crutch holder (optional)
Put the crutch in the crutch holder and then fix it to the backrest using the retaining strap. Never step on the crutch holder and never use it as a tipping aid.
6.5. Spokeguard (optional)
The spokeguard is fixed to the spokes using the cable ties.

6.6. Handrim cover (optional)
Put the handrim cover over the handrims in order to achieve better grip on the handrim, for example if your hand strength is limited.
With better grip, there is a risk of sharp braking. Attention: risk of falling!
6.7. Infusion & oxygen bottle holder (optional)
The infusion & oxygen bottle holder is pushed onto the back tube and fixed to the backrest of your wheelchair. Attention – with increased load from the oxygen bottles, the risk of your wheelchair tipping over backwards will also increase. We strongly recommend the use of anti-tip wheels.
6.8. Fixing a bag (optional)
If you want to fit a bag to your wheelchair, hang the straps of your bag over the back tubes of your wheelchair.
Please note that the reflectors must not be covered.
Attention – with increased load in the bag, the risk of your wheelchair tipping over backwards will also increase. We strongly recommend the use of antitip wheels.

7. Use
7.1. Side transfer
Never stand on the footplate and when swinging it away, there is a Risk of tipping over!
· Make sure that the sides of the wheelchair and the current or future seat surface are as close to each other as possible.
· If you are transferring from another wheelchair or indoor frame, secure these by applying the parking brakes.
· Secure the wheelchair using the parking brake (see Chapter 5.8). · If necessary, swing the armrest backwards or remove the sideguard
(see Chapter 5.5). · Flip both footplates up, swing them to the side and remove them
(see Chapter 5.2). · Slide sideways onto the other seat surface. When doing this sit as
far back as possible. · Move the legrests back into their original position. · If necessary lock the sideguards back in place.

7.2. Frontal transfer
Never stand on the footplate and when swinging it away, there is a Risk of tipping over!
· Remove the legrests (see Chapter 5.2). · Make sure that the front of the wheelchair and the current or future
seat are as close to each other as possible and apply the parking brakes on both sides (see Chapter 5.8).

· If you are transferring from another wheelchair or indoor frame, secure these by applying the parking brakes.
· Now slide onto the seat surface by rotating your body. · Then hang the legrests back into the initial position and flip the
footplates down.
34. 7.3. Going up or down stairs or a high obstacle
Only the frame and the push handles must be used as grip points.
The helpers only grip on the firmly fixed frame parts (Fig. 34). In order to go up stairs, the rear helper pulls the wheelchair backwards up the steps by holding onto firmly-mounted handles. The lower helper grips on the front frame tubes and stabilises the wheelchair. When doing this he pushes the drive wheels of the wheelchair onto the steps. When descending, the lower helper brakes the chair by pressing the wheelchair straight into the steps. The upper helper holds the wheelchair by the push handles, keeps it secure and holds it in the right position. The wheelchair should roll down step by step.
Two attendants must help with obstacles and stairs with more than three steps.

7.4. Driving the wheelchair

· Sit in your Bischoff & Bischoff wheelchair. Make sure that you sit as

far back as possible.

· Propulsion is achieved using the handrims on the drive wheels.

Place your hands on the handrims using your thumbs and bent

index fingers.

· From this position, push the wheelchair with both hands (Fig. 35).

· Turning right: hold the right handrim tight and only push with the

left one

· Turning left: push in the opposite way

· Turning on the spot: push the handrims in opposite directions at

the same time

· Braking: reduce the speed of the handrims with your hands.

Carry out the first test drives carefully, until you have got used to

the wheelchair and its driving characteristics. Wheelchairs only have

limited security against tipping over and slipping. Take extra care when

braking, starting off or turning on slopes. Extended leaning out of the

wheelchair also increases the risk of tipping over. Tipping protection

reduces this risk. For easier obstacle negotiation, the attendant can tip

the wheelchair (see Chapter 5.13).

9. Transport
9.1. Transporting the wheelchair
In order to make the wheelchair as manageable as possible to transport, remove all removable parts (legrests, drive wheels, armrests, loose accessories, see Chapter 5) and fold the wheelchair up (Fig. 36).

9.2. Transportation in vehicles
To see whether your wheelchair is permitted for use as a seat in a vehicle for transporting individuals with impaired mobility or not, you can refer to the symbols on the product’s identification label (see Chapter 4.3). Wheelchair is designed for use as a seat in a vehicle for transporting individuals with impaired mobility (Fig. 37). 37. 10. Maintenance instructions for the user
10.1. Cleaning and disinfection
The seat and back materials can be cleaned with warm water using a sponge and/or a soft brush. In case of stubborn dirt, a commercial cleaning agent can be added to the water.
Note: Never use aggressive cleaning agents such as solvents / scouring agents or hard brushes.

Plastic parts are best cleaned with a commercially available plastic cleaner. Please observe the product information of the cleaning agent. · Plastic claddings are attacked by non-ionic surfactants and
solvents, especially alcohols! · Wipe the frame parts of the wheelchair with a damp cloth. For
heavier soiling, also use a mild cleaning agent. · Clean the wheels with a damp brush with plastic bristles (do not
use a wire brush!). Do not use a high-pressure cleaner. · Wash the push handles, arm pads, seat and back pads with a mild detergent. · Upholstery parts can be machine washed at 40°C. Do not machine dry, only dry at room temperature.

10.2. Disinfection
Before disinfection, the rollator must be thoroughly cleaned. The wheelchair can be disinfected with a household disinfectant. Use approved spray disinfectants or alcohol-based wipe-on disinfectants. · In the case of multiple product users, a commercial disinfectant is
prescribed. · Use only wipe-on disinfectants approved by the Robert Koch
Institute (RKI) and the Association for Applied Hygiene (Verbund

(e.g. Bacillol AF or Kohrsolin FF); see manufacturer’s recommendations for exposure time and concentration. · Caution: Damaged upholstery parts cannot be sufficiently disinfected. These should be replaced. · Under certain circumstances, the surfaces can be affected by disinfectants. Longer-term restrictions of the functionality can be the result. Please note our enclosed overview of the most important care, hygiene and maintenance tasks.
Attention: Danger of infection! If there are several users, the wheelchair must be cleaned after each use.
10.3. Checks before driving
10.3.1. Checking the brakes
Before setting off each time, check that the brakes work properly. With the parking brakes applied, the wheelchair cannot be pushed on dry surfaces. When the brakes are released, the wheelchair runs without scraping noises and good directional stability. If this is not the case, notify your dealer immediately and stop using the product until it has been serviced.

10.3.2. Checking the tyres
Each time before setting off, check the tyres for damage. If you have pneumatic tyres adjust to the air pressure given on the tyres.
11. Repairs
Repairs and servicing work must only be carried out by authorised partners (medical supply stores or dealers). To find a partner in your area, please contact our Customer Service. You can find the contact details on the back cover of this user manual.
12. Maintenance information
Typical wear parts are brakes and tyres. Please contact your dealer for spare parts. We recommend that you have your dealer check your wheelchair at least once a year. If there are faults or defects, pass the wheelchair to your dealer for servicing immediately. On request, any information and documents necessary for the repair and servicing will be provided to the dealer. If you have any questions please contact Bischoff & Bischoff Customer Service. The wheelchair must be checked in accordance with the maintenance plan and be in proper technical condition.

13. Maintenance instructions for the specialist trade
Maintenance must be carried out in accordance with the Bischoff & Bischoff maintenance plan. A maintenance schedule will be provided upon request. A training programme for the specialised trade is also available.
14. Passing the wheelchair on to another user
The wheelchair is designed for re-use. Before it is passed on to another user, it must be serviced by a dealer and hygienically cleaned. When passing the wheelchair on to another user, please remember to hand over this user manual and the address of your dealer to the new user.
15. Storage/shipping
If the wheelchair is to be stored or shipped, all loose parts which are not fixed, except for the drive wheels, must be removed and packed individually in an appropriate cardboard box. The individually-packed parts can then be packed together in a larger cardboard box. We recommend that you keep the original packing and store it for these purposes, so that it is available when needed. Your wheelchair is then optimally protected against environmental influences during storage or transportation.
16. Disposal
If your wheelchair is no longer in use and needs to be disposed of, contact your dealer.
If you want to handle the disposal yourself, find out about the regulations in your area from local recycling companies.

17. Warranty
1. For products supplied by Bischoff & Bischoff, the period of warranty is 24 months from purchase date. The products are delivered free from production and material defects. In case of evidence of material or manufacturing defect, defective parts will be replaced free of charge. 2. This warranty excludes claims for the following reasons: a) normal wear and tear, which include but is not limited to the following parts where fitted; Batteries, motor brushes, handles, armrests, upholstery, tyres, brakes, caps, etc. b) overloading the product such as, for example, by exceeding the maximum user weight or load. c) the product or part has not been maintained or serviced in accordance with the operating manual, the care and hygiene instructions or the manufacturer’s recommendations as shown in the maintenance instructions. d) Accessories have been used which are not original accessories. e) The product or part has been damaged through negligence, accident or incorrect use. f) changes/modifications have been made to the product or parts, which deviate from the manufacturer’s specifications. g) Repairs have been carried out, before our customer service has been informed of the circumstances. 3. To enforce the warranty, please contact your dealer with the exact details of the nature of the difficulty. The product must be repaired by a dealer authorised by Bischoff & Bischoff. 4. For parts, which have been repaired or exchanged within the scope of the warranty, the warranty will be extended to the remaining warranty period for the product in accordance with point 1). 5. For original spare parts which have been fitted at the customer’s expense, these will have a 12 months guarantee, following the fitting. 6. If the repair fails after a reasonable time, the customer can, at his discretion, request a reduction, compensation or the termination of the purchase contract.

2. Instrucciones importantes de seguridad
2.1. Instrucciones generales de seguridad

· Para evitar caídas y situaciones peligrosas, practique primero eluso

de su nueva silla de ruedas en terrenos llanos y manejables.Se

recomienda ir acompañado.

· Antes de utilizar la silla de ruedas, compruebe que todas laspiezas

fijadas estén bien sujetas.

· Levante la silla de ruedas únicamente por las piezas montadas

firmemente (véase el capítulo 7.3).

· Al cambiar el equilibrio debido a los movimientos del cuerpo o al

cargar la silla de ruedas, aumenta el riesgo de vuelco haciatodos

los lados.

· No utilice la silla de ruedas para transportar más de una persona o

carga. Respete el uso previsto (véase el capítulo 3).

· Al ajustar y fijar la silla de ruedas, existe el riesgo de que queden

atrapadas partes del cuerpo.

· Mantenga la ropa y otras partes del cuerpo alejadas de los espacios

entre las piezas en movimiento.

· Al salvar obstáculos (escalones, etc.), haga que esté presente una

compañante. Utilice el dispositivo antivuelco (véase elcapítulo

5.14) (fig. A).

· Suba escaleras y obstáculos mayores sólo con la ayuda de almenos

dos acompañantes (véase el capítulo 7.3). Utilice instalaciones

como rampas, ascensores o dispositivos de ayuda para subir

escaleras, si están disponibles (Fig. B).

· Al circular por una pendiente/pendiente, tenga en cuenta

queexiste el riesgo de vuelco a partir de unos pocos grados.

Serecomienda el uso de un antivuelco (véase el capítulo 5.14) (Fig.

C).

No obstante, mantenga alejados de su producto los cigarrillos y otras posibles fuentes de incendio. · Proteja la silla de la luz solar para evitar quemaduras por el calentamiento de los componentes. · Respete las condiciones de almacenamiento y funcionamiento (véase el capítulo 15). · Al pasar de la silla de ruedas a la cama (véanse los capítulos 7.1 y 7.2), hágalo siempre: · accione ambos frenos de estacionamiento · Pliegue hacia arriba el reposapiés o baje los reposapiernas. · Una combinación desfavorable de anchuras y profundidades de asiento puede provocar restricciones en el acceso a las vías de evacuación.
Atención: Debido a las dimensiones de la silla de rueadas, es necesario comprobar si su silla de ruedas también puedo moverso en el entorno previsto. Esto se aplica en particular al uso de las vías de evacuación.

Notificación de incidentes.

Si usted como operador, usuario o sus familiares descubren

posibles defectos o limitaciones funcionales, póngase

inmediatamente en contacto con un distribuidor especializado

autorizado. Los operadores, usuarios o sus familiares deben informar al

distribuidor especializado que les proporcionó el producto de cualquier

sospecha de incidente grave que haya tenido directa o

indirectamente alguna de las siguientes consecuencias

o puedan tener y por las que se vean afectados. También pueden

informar de ello a las autoridades competentes,

· la muerte de un paciente, usuario u otra persona

· la grave temporal o permanente Deterioro del estado de salud de

un paciente, usuario u otra persona,

· una grave amenaza para la salud pública.

Proteja la silla de la luz solar para evitar quemaduras por el calentamiento de los componentes.

2.2. Peligro de vuelco
Si están disponibles, las ruedas antivuelco a ambos lados (véase el capítulo 5.15) evitan en la medida de lo posible que la silla de ruedas vuelque hacia atrás. No obstante, tenga en cuenta que la conducción con ruedas antivuelco solo es posible de forma limitada en terrenos escalonados, plataformas elevadoras y rampas. Asegúrese de que haya suficiente distancia hacia arriba, hacia abajo y hacia los lados.

2.3. Seguridad en los vehículos
Puede saber si su silla de ruedas está homologada como asiento en un vehículo de motor para el transporte de personas con movilidad reducida o no por los símbolos de la placa de características del producto (véase el capítulo 4.3): Silla de ruedas apta como asiento en un vehículo de motor para el transporte de personas con movilidad reducida (fig. D). Silla de ruedas no adecuada como asiento en un vehículo de motor para el transporte de personas con movilidad reducida (Fig. E). Si su silla de ruedas no es adecuada como asiento de vehículo, no debe utilizarse como tal bajo ninguna circunstancia. En ese caso, no cumple los requisitos de la norma ISO 7176-19. De lo contrario, puede sufrir lesiones graves e incluso mortales en caso de accidente (fig.E).

2.4. Participación en el tráfico rodado
La silla de ruedas está diseñada para su uso en interiores y exteriores. Tenga en cuenta que está participando en el tráfico rodado público y que debe cumplir las normas de la Ley de tráfico rodado (StVZO). No ponga en peligro a otros participantes conduciendo de forma temeraria, esto se aplica especialmente en las aceras.

2.5. Frenos
Operating brake: Freno de servicio: Cuando conduzca, frene la silla utilizando los aros de autopropulsión. Tenga en cuenta que sus manos pueden calentarse. (véase el capítulo 5.8). Freno de estacionamiento/parking: En cuanto la silla esté parada, empuje ambas palancas de freno hacia delante. La silla de ruedas está frenada de forma segura cuando ya no se puede empujar y ambas palancas de freno están empujadas hacia delante hasta el tope. Tire de la palanca hacia atrás para soltar el freno (véase el capítulo 5.8.1). Freno de tambor: La silla de ruedas puede equiparse opcionalmente con un freno de tambor que sólo puede ser accionado por un asistente a través de las palancas de freno de los mangos de empuje.
3. Propósito
La silla de ruedas está diseñada exclusivamente para aumentar la movilidad y el transporte de adultos con problemas para caminar con las indicaciones indicadas (véase el capítulo 3.1). El peso máximo del usuario: – Pyro Start Plus a partir de 125 kg – Pyro Start Plus SL a partir de 150 kg no debe superarse. A tener en cuenta: Sólo podemos ofrecer una garantía si el producto se utiliza en las condiciones especificadas y para los fines previstos.

3.1. Indicaciones
La provisión de una silla de ruedas es adecuada para adultos que no pueden caminar o tienen una discapacidad grave para caminar, por ejemplo, a través de: · Parálisis · Pérdida de extremidades · Defecto/deformidad de las extremidades · Contracturas articulares (no en ambos brazos) · Daños articulares (no en ambos brazos) · Otras enfermedades Debe considerarse la posibilidad de suministrar sillas de ruedas SL si la estatura del usuario es superior a 185 cm y una silla de ruedas estándar ya no puede proporcionar la adaptabilidad necesaria.
3.2. Contraindicaciones

4. Productos y entrega
4.1. Inspección de entrega
Todos los productos de Bischoff und Bischoff GmbH se someten a una inspección final adecuada en nuestra empresa y se dotan de la marca CE (véase el capítulo 4.3). La silla de ruedas se entrega de fábrica en una caja especial. Una vez desembalada, conserve la caja si es posible. Sirve para un posible almacenamiento o devolución posterior del producto. La entrega y la instrucción suelen correr a cargo de minoristas de suministros médicos cualificados. En caso de envío por ferrocarril o por transportista, la mercancía debe ser comprobada inmediatamente en presencia del repartidor para detectar posibles daños de transporte. Compruebe que el contenido esté completo (véase el capítulo 4.2) e intacto. En caso de irregularidades o daños, póngase en contacto con nuestro servicio de atención al cliente. 5. Montaje/Adaptaciones
Su nueva silla de ruedas Bischoff & Bischoff se entrega montada y plegada en una caja de cartón original de Bischoff & Bischoff. Para evitar daños durante el transporte, los accesorios adaptables se suministran por separado. Puede consultar las opciones posibles para su silla de ruedas en Datos técnicos (véase el capítulo 7).
5.1. Plegar y desplegar
Despliegue · Coloque la silla de ruedas plegable a su lado. (Fig. 3) · Incline la silla de ruedas plegable hacia usted de modo que una
rueda motriz quede descargada. · Separe los tubos del asiento y empújelos hacia abajo con la palma
de la mano hasta que queden bloqueados en el soporte del cuadro (fig. 4). · El tapizado del asiento debe estar completamente extendido. · Accione los frenos de estacionamiento a derecha e izquierda de las ruedas motrices. · Monte los reposapiés · Ahora puedes sentarte.
Plegado · Coloque la silla de ruedas plegable a su lado. · Doble los reposapiés hacia arriba (fig. 5). · Retire el cojín del asiento, si está presente, agarre la parte
delantera y trasera del tapizado del asiento y tire de él hacia arriba.

Cuidado con los dedos al plegar y desplegar, hay peligro de atascarse.

5.2. Reposapiés 5.2.1. Reposapiés

Los reposapiés pueden plegarse individualmente hacia un lado y

ajustarse a la longitud de la pantorrilla del usuario. Los reposapiernas

se pueden desmontar, girar y volver a montar sin necesidad de

herramientas.

Colocación de los reposapiés

· Sujete el reposapies por la parte superior de modo que

· apunte hacia fuera.

· Introduzca el soporte de la pata con el perno guía en el orificio

· del bastidor (fig. 6).

· Gire el reposapies hacia adelante hasta que encaje de

· forma claramente audible (fig. 6).

· Si es necesario, pliegue hacia abajo las plataformas del reposapiés.

Girar y retirar los reposapiés

Para facilitarle la entrada y salida de la silla de ruedas plegable, puede

girar los reposapiés hacia fuera o hacia dentro sin tener que

desmontarlos.

· Si es necesario, pliegue las plataformas del reposapiés

· Tire del asa hacia arriba (fig. 8) y gire el reposapiernas hacia fuera

(fig. 8).

· En la posición exterior, el reposapiés puede extraerse hacia arriba

(fig. 8).

Antes de salir, vuelva a colocar los reposapiés como se ha descrito

anteriormente.

No se suba nunca al reposapiés y tenga cuidado con los dedos al girar, hay peligro de quedar atrapado.

5.2.2. Ajuste de los

5.2.1.). Para el desmontaje (véase la fig. 11), sujete el botón (1)

tirando hacia arriba y pliegue el reposapiernas hacia fuera (2). A

continuación, tire del reposapiernas hacia arriba (3).

Para ajustar (fig. 12), afloje la palanca de sujeción, luego ajuste el

reposapiernas a la longitud deseada y apriete la palanca de sujeción.

El ajuste horizontal funciona de la siguiente manera:

5.4. Reposapiernas para amputados (opcional)

El montaje es el mismo que para los reposapies estándar

una vez aflojando los tornillos del lateral del reposapiernas para

amputación (1.) y moviendo la almohadilla para pantorrillas a la

posición deseada. Existe otra posibilidad de ajustar la longitud

de la pantorrilla y el muslo volviendo a montar la almohadilla

para pantorrillas con los tornillos de encaje de la parte posterior.

Para el ajuste horizontal, basta con tirar de la almohadilla de la

pantorrilla hacia arriba. Para reajustarla, tire de la palanca de sujeción

(fig. 14). Una vez alcanzada la posición correcta, suelte la palanca

de sujeción. La pantorrillera también puede girarse sin herramientas

y plegarse hacia fuera para ahorrar espacio (fig. 13). El desmontaje

(fig. 15) se realiza tirando del pomo (1.), girándolo hacia fuera (2.)

y tirando del soporte de la pantorrilla de amputación hacia arriba

(3.).

Para sentarse, el reposapiés debe abatirse o retirarse. No se siente nunca sobre el reposapiés. Peligro de vuelco.

5.5. Reposabrazos estándar
5.5.1. Panel lateral estándar
· Para facilitar la entrada y salida, las dos secciones laterales con los reposabrazos se pueden girar hacia atrás.
16. · Accione la palanca de bloqueo con una ligera presión de los dedos y gire simultáneamente la pieza lateral hacia atrás (fig. 16).
· Para bloquear la sección lateral, pliéguela hacia delante y déjela encajar con una ligera presión en el reposabrazos.
· Los reposabrazos de las secciones laterales se entregan montados en posición central.
· En caso necesario, pueden reubicarse ligeramente hacia delante y hacia atrás.
· La altura de la sección lateral puede ajustarse en cuatro pasos. Para ello, retire el tornillo situado debajo del reposabrazos y disponga los espaciadores según la altura deseada y vuelva a atornillarlos.

Al girar los reposabrazos, asegúrese de que no puedan quedar atrapadas prendas de vestir u otros utensilios. Compruebe que los reposabrazos estén bien colocadas antes de utilizarlas.

No utilice nunca los reposabrazos para transportar la silla de ruedas.

5.5.2. Almohadilla ajustable en altu-

ra y profundidad (opcional)

Opcionalmente, su silla de ruedas puede equiparse con almohadillas ajustables en altura y profundidad, así como desmontables. El reposabrazos es desmontable y giratorio hacia atrás.
Ajuste de altura · Accione la palanca de bloqueo para ajustar la almohadillo a la
posición deseada (fig. 17). · Cuando haya alcanzado la posición deseada, suelte la palanca. El
bloqueo se activará. · La altura es correcta cuando -con el brazo inferior apoyado en el
suelo- el brazo superior y el inferior forman aproximadamente un ángulo recto. Ajuste de profundidad ·Pulse el botón situado en el lateral la almohadilla y deslícelo hasta la posición deseada (fig. 18). ·Suelte el botón y mueva la almohadilla ligeramente hacia adelante o hacia atrás hasta que encaje. Desmontaje del reposabrazos Para retirar el reposabrazos, primero gire el panel lateral hacia arriba pulsando el botón 1. A continuación, tire hacia arriba del reposabrazos tirando del botón 2 (fig. 19).

5.5.3. Reposabrazos desmontable (op-
cional)
Para retirar el reposabrazos, primero pulse el botón 1 hacia arriba. A continuación, el reposabrazos puede extraerse hacia arriba tirando del botón 2 (fig. 20).

5.6. Altura de la espalda
La altura del respaldo de la silla de ruedas Pyro Start Plus SL puede ajustarse.
El ajuste a la altura del respaldo sólo puede ser realizado por profesionales capacitados.
5.7. Ángulo del asiento
El ángulo del asiento puede ajustarse regulando la altura de la parte delantera – y las ruedas traseras pueden ajustarse. Véase los capítulos 5.11.1 y 5.11.2.
5.8. Frenos
La silla de ruedas está equipada de serie con frenos de estacionamiento para su accionamiento por el usuario.
El freno de estacionamiento no debe utilizarse como freno de servicio, ya que existe peligro de muerte por caída.

Tenga cuidado con el riesgo de quemaduras si se le calientan las manos al frenar sobre las llantas de empuje.

5.8.1. Accionamiento del freno de bloqueo

El freno de estacionamiento sólo puede utilizarse para aparcar. Para

frenar la marcha sólo se utilizan los aros de las ruedas motrices

o los frenos de tambor opcionales para acompañantes.

· Al frenar sobre los aros de empuje, agarre su punto más alto. Deje

que los aros de empuje se deslicen primero entre sus manos.

· Aumente lentamente la fuerza de frenado mediante la

fuerza de retención que aplica a las llantas de empuje hasta que se

detenga bruscamente.

· En cuanto la silla de ruedas esté parada, empuje ambas palancas

de freno hacia delante (fig. 21). La silla de ruedas está frenada de

forma segura cuando ya no se puede empujar y ambas palancas de

freno están empujadas hacia delante hasta el tope.

Tire de la palanca hacia usted para soltar el freno.

No utilice nunca la palanca de freno como apoyo Por ejemplo, al trasladarse o al ponerse de pie, ya que de lo contrario existe riesgo de vuelco y caída. La palanca podría romperse.

El freno de estacionamiento – con y sin prolongación de la palanca de freno – sólo actúa sobre una rueda motriz, por lo que debe utilizarse siempre en ambos lados.

5.8.2. Ajuste del freno de bloqueo
El ajuste de los frenos sólo puede ser realizado por personal especializado formado. Recuerde que un ajuste incorrecto de los frenos puede tener consecuencias mortales.

El freno de tambor no sustituye al freno de estacionamiento.

· Coloque el sistema de frenos en una posición que proporcione un

frenado seguro en todas las situaciones de conducción y que sea

operable.

· Para ajustar la distancia, afloje los dos tornillos Allen del soporte
