User Instructions for RFHM Module
Introduction
The system called Passive Entry System has two separate units: a transmitter and a transceiver RFHM module. The transmitter transmits an RF message upon pressing of a button to perform functions listed below. It also works with the RFHM transceiver that has the capability to transmit a Low Frequency (LF) (125 kHz) modulated signal via up to 5 different antennas. Fault logic in the RFHM Limits the LF transmission to only one antenna at a time. The limited range of the LF transmission allows the RFHM to force a 54T FOBIK to transmit if the 54T FOBIK is relatively close (~2m) to the LF transmitting antenna. If the 54T FOBIK Recognizes the content of the inquiry then it will transmit an RF message to the RFHM module of the car which allows opening the doors of the car upon touching of the door handles or starting the car upon pressing the ignition switch.
- Door Lock: To lock the doors, press and release the lock button on the fob.
- Door Unlock: To unlock the doors, press and release the unlock button on the fob.
- Vehicle Lowering: To lower the vehicle, press and release the vehicle lowering button twice on the fob.
- Remote Starting: To remotely start the vehicle, press and release the remote start button twice on the fob.
- Panic Function: To activate the panic function, press and release the panic button on the fob.
Safety Guidelines
- Children and Animals: Do not leave the key fob in or near the vehicle, or in a location accessible to children or animals. The receiver is fitted inside the vehicle and is not accessible to the end user.
- Temperature: Avoid exposing the Remote Control transmitter to extreme hot or cold weather conditions.
