Product Usage Instructions
Speaker Installation
- Unsnap and remove the panel above the radio screen.
- Unsnap and remove the trim panel located at the driver’s side edge of the dash.
- Remove a screw from the left side of the panel below the steering column.
- Using a panel removal tool, carefully unclip and remove the centre console cover.
- Unsnap and remove the panel above the glove box.
Dash Disassembly
- Remove a 7mm screw and remove the small trim next to the left center vent.
- Remove 2 screws from the radio/climate control panel, then unclip and remove the panel.
- Extract 3 screws from each A/C vent and remove the vents.
- Remove 4 screws securing the factory radio, disconnect the wiring, and then remove the radio.
- Remove 2 screws and remove the CD player.
Dash Disassembly with LD-LAN09-PIO
- Using a panel removal tool, unclip the plastic shroud around the steering wheel column.
- Connect the LD-GMSWC to the 10-pin straight row connector located in the steering column.
- Route the LD-GMSWC cable through the steering column into the dash and back towards the radio area.
- Remove 3 bolts from the lower trim cover. Rotate the steering wheel to gain access to the bolts, then remove the forward-facing bolts.

WIRING & ANTENNA CONNECTIONS (sold separately)

TOOLS REQUIRED
- Panel removal tool
- Phillips screwdriver
- 9/32″ socket wrench
- ATTENTION: With the key out of the ignition, disconnect the negative battery terminal before installing this product.
- Ensure that all installation connections, especially the airbag indicator lights, are plugged in before reconnecting the battery or cycling the ignition to test this product.

SPEAKER INSTALLATION
- Install the provided speaker in the dash before assembling the radio components.
- Note: Make sure this is mounted in a location suitable for the driver to hear. (The audio level for the speaker can be changed via the radio once installed.)
DASH DISASSEMBLY
- Unsnap and remove the panel above the radio screen. (Figure A)
- Unsnap and remove the trim panel located at the driver’s side edge of the dash. (Figure B)
- Remove (1) screw from left side of panel below steering column. (Figure C)
- Note: The panel does not need to be fully removed.
- Using the panel removal tool, carefully unclip and remove the centre console cover. (Figure D)
- Unsnap and remove the panel above the glove box. (Figure E)
- Remove (1) 7mm screw and remove the small trim next to the left center vent. (Figure F)
- Note: Next to the push-to-start button in some models.
- Remove (2) 7mm screws from the radio/climate control panel, then unclip and remove the panel. (Figure G)
- Extract (3) 7mm screws from each A/C vent and remove the vents. (Figure H)
- Remove (4) screws securing th factory radio, disconnect the wiring, and then remove the radio. (Figure I)
- Remove (2) 7mm screws and remove the CD player. (Figure J)
If using the LD-LAN09-PIO:
- Using the panel removal tool, unclip the plastic shroud around the steering wheel column. (Figure A)
- Connect the LD-GMSWC to the 10-pin straight row connector located in the steering column.
- Route the LD-GMSWC cable through the steering column into the dash and back towards the radio area.
- Remove 3 three bolts from the lower trim cover. Rotate the steering wheel to gain access to the bolts, then remove the forward-facing bolts. (Figure B)
- NOTE: If RPO is IO5 or IO6, use the LD-LAN09-PIO.
- If RPO is IOB, use the LD-LAN10-PIO.
CONNECTIONS
KIT ASSEMBLY
Double DIN radio provision
- Attach the radio brackets to the radio trim panel with (4) #8 x 3/8″ Phillips screws provided with this kit. (Figure A)
- Slide the radio into the bracket trim panel assembly and secure with the screws supplied with the radio. (Figure B)
- Clip the climate controls into the radio trim panel assembly.
- Snap the climate control vents into the radio trim panel assembly.
- Locate the factory wiring harness and antenna plug in the dash. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapters from Metra and/or AXXESS.
- Complete all connections to the radio and vehicle, reconnect the negative battery terminal, and then test the aftermarket radio and vehicle for proper operation.
- Mount the radio assembly into the dash using the factory screws.
- Reassemble the dash in the reverse order of disassembly to complete the installation.
RADIO OPERATIONS
Vehicle Selection
- Allows the selection of the vehicle the Pioneer radio is being installed in.
- Select Make, Model and Trim to activate the extended functions of the radio.
- The vehicle type must be selected to activate iPod, Bluetooth, backup cameras, as well as HVAC functions and steering wheel controls.
- Press Confirm to lock in the selection.
Car Features
- The source for accessing all vehicle information and options.
Customisations Menu:
- Allows full control of vehicle personalisation options.
- Access this menu by selecting the gear icon on the previous screenshot
- Provides Steering Wheel Control (SWC) Configuration.
- Dual Assignment: Assign (2) functions to a single SWC button.
- Remap: Reassign a button on the SWC.
