Getting Started:
- Ensure Pulse PRO Hub and motorized shades are set up and
working in the Automate Shades app. - Have a Matter-compatible, Alexa hub/smart speaker linked to
your Alexa account.
Connecting Shades to Alexa:
- In the Alexa app, open Devices page and click the + in the
upper right corner, then select Add Device. - Select the option to add a Hub and choose the Matter
option. - Scan the Matter QR code on the Automate Pulse Pro Hub.
- Choose one shade at a time, select Set Up Device, and then
select Done to add the shade to your account. Repeat for each
shade. - Once added, you can see and control the shades from the Devices
page in the Alexa app.
Voice Commands and Routines:
To control shades with voice commands, use phrases like:
- Alexa, open kitchen shade
- Alexa, close den blind
- Alexa, activate bedtime routine
- Alexa, raise the blackout shade
- Alexa, set bedroom shade to 22%
Alexa Routines:
Note that Rooms, Scenes, and Timers set in the Automate Shades
app do not transfer to Alexa. Create Routines in Alexa for similar
functionality. Visit alexa.com for more details on setting up
Routines.

GETTING STARTED:
Before connecting to Alexa, please ensure your Pulse PRO Hub and motorized shades have been setup and are working from within the Automate Shades app.
You will also need a Matter-compatible, Alexa hub/smart speaker already linked to your Alexa account.
To control shades with Alexa, you will need the following: 1. Automate Pulse PRO Hub that has been set up. 2. Working shades within the Automate Shades app. 3. Alexa app and Amazon account. 4. A Matter-compatible hub/smart speaker set up.
1. In the Alexa app, open the Devices page and then select the + in the upper right corner. Then select Add Device.
4. Choose one shade at a time, then select Set Up Device to add it.
5. Select Done to add that shade to your account. Repeat for each of the shades.
2. Select the option to add a Hub and then select the Matter option.
6. Once added, you’ll see the shades on the Devices page; you can control them from here.
3. Scan the Matter QR code found on the bottom of the Automate Pulse Pro Hub.
NOTE: Ensure you have a Matter-compatible, Alexa hub/speaker already set up.
