Introduction
The X5s 8th Anniversary Edition is the fourth generation of the aune X5 series. It uses the freescale 600M processor, the hardware decoding system, the fourth generation FPGA asynchronous technology and supports clock input. It is a multi-functional digital music player / transport that purely focuses on sound quality. The Bluetooth Edition applies Bluetooth asynchronous FPGA technology and uses the CSR867X Bluetooth 5.0 module.

Connection Instructions
As a Digital Transport
- Connect the X5s 8 Anniversary Edition’s coaxial output to a DAC’s (eg. X1s)coaxial input with a coaxial cable.
- Connect the DAC’s audio/line output to an amplifier/active speakers’ audio/line input
As a Bluetooth Transport
- Connect the X5s 8th Anniversary Bluetooth Edition and a DAC via coaxial.
- Connect the X5s 8th Anniversary Bluetooth Edition and a smartphone/computer/portable music player via Bluetooth.
- Plug a pair of headphones or connect a pair of speakers to the DAC (eg. the X1s).
- Play music files on the device (smartphone/computer/portable music player) connected via Bluetooth.
When Using the Digital Transport Together With the Built-In DAC
- The built-in DAC can transmit high fidelity analog signals.
- Connect the X5s 8 Anniversary Edition’s audio/line output to an amplifier/active speakers’ audio/line input.
Bluetooth Transmitter Mode
- Connect a pair of headphones or speakers to the X5s 8th Anniversary Bluetooth Edition via Bluetooth.
- Play music files from the SD card or USB flash drive inserted in the X5s 8th Anniversary Bluetooth Edition

Operation Instructions
External Clock Connection
- Connect the clock’s (eg. the XC1) 10M output to the X5s 8th Anniversary Edition’s 10M input.
- Stop playing – go to Settings – Clock Input – select external
