FAQ & Troubleshooting
1. My TV doesn’t detect the HDMI signal. What should I do?
• Make sure your TV input is set to the correct HDMI port. Consult your TV manual for instructions on how to set the source of your TV. • Try another HDMI cable or port if available. • If HDMI still fails, use the SCART output if your TV supports it. • Restart both the TV and the DVB482 after connecting. • Press the Yellow V-Format button on the DVB482 remote and wait 1 minute. Repeat this process a few times.
2: Why does the channel change when I open the EPG?
• The EPG retrieves data from the currently tuned channel. When selecting a channel in EPG, the unit switches a tuner to that channel to fetch programme data - this is normal behavior.
3: Can I record a whole TV series automatically?
• No. The DVB482 supports manual or single-event recordings only. • You can set recurring timed recordings by manually selecting the channel, start time, and end time.
4: How do I know if my TV is compatible?
• Your TV must have either an HDMI or SCART input and support Free view DVB-T T2 signals. • If your TV is older or has unique firmware, please consult your manufacturer or test with a Free view aerial first.
5: Recording seems too complicated. Is there a simpler way?
• For one-touch recording, press the REC button during live TV. • For scheduled recordings, use the EPG to select the programme, then press OK > Record. • For full control, go to Menu > Record > Timer Record or press the Blue Button
6: My recordings are missing or incomplete.
• Ensure the USB drive is inserted and formatted FAT32 or NTFS. • Check that the device is powered on during the scheduled recording period. • Avoid changing channels during the recording unless recording a different channel on the second tuner.
