AUDIX OMX-T Dynamic Vocal Micro Phone
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Designed, assembled and tested by AUDIX in the USA, the OMX-T is purposefully designed for vocalists with tight mic technique who must overcome the unique challenges of performing on a loud stage. Singers and sound engineers will instantly appreciate the isolation provided by OMX-T. Bleed from cymbals and other instruments becomes nearly inaudible which will instantly improve vocal clarity and gain before feedback in all mixes (FOH, Wedge Monitors and IEM’s). In addition, OMX-T’s extra tight pattern makes it a perfect solution for performers who tend to “cup” the microphone with one or both hands.
All OMX microphones feature a specially tuned and optimized dynamic capsule that utilizes the legendary and exclusive AUDIX VLM™ (Very Low Mass) diaphragm for natural sound and exceptional transient response.
OMX construction features include a precision die cast zinc alloy body with durable black E-coat finish and a newly designed dent resistant, steel mesh grille. A uniquely colored, anodized aluminum ring between the body and grille allows for quick and easy identification of all three models within the OMX range: Green: OMX-E (extended); Gold: OMX-M(mid-tight) and Silver: OMX-T (tight).

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
OMX Microphones are low impedance and should be plugged into the “mic level” input of your console, mixer or recording device. Please note that your microphone does not require phantom power and will not be affected in any way by phantom power should it be running simultaneously while the microphone is in operation. Avoid plugging or unplugging the microphone from the PA system unless the channel is muted or the volume of the system turned down. Failure to do so may result in a loud “popping” noise which could seriously damage the speakers in the PA system.
OMX Microphones are manufactured to exacting specs with rugged construction. However, the capsule is highly sensitive and should be handled with care. Avoid extreme temperatures and be sure to store your microphone in the pouch provided when not in use. Moisture of any kind can adversely affect the sound and performance of your microphone.

PICKUP PATTERN
USER TIPS
The OMX-T is designed with an unconventionally low output level; this means that the gain will have to be compensated on the mixing console or mic preamp. The OMX-T has an extremely tight pickup, greatly helping to eliminate “bleed” from other sound sources on stage. For best results, it is important to sing directly into the mic as close as possible at all times (within 1 inch).
When using floor monitors, position the microphone so that it is parallel to the floor. When using multiple microphones on a live performance stage, allow a distance of 2-3 feet (1 meter) between mics to avoid phase issues.
