1. Stud Removal:
To remove studs from the manifold, it may be necessary to use a stud extractor tool. Ensure the extractor is securely placed and use fingertight pressure at this point to avoid damaging the manifold.

supplemental instructions
- Install Vortex manifold casting per original instructions.
- Remove the rear 2 studs from EGR and replace them with longer bolts (M10x60) supplied with a strut.
- Note: Use of a stud extractor may be necessary to remove studs from the manifold. My finger is tight at this point.
- Install a small Angle Bracket with (2) M8x16 Socket Head Screws w/flat washers. Again, finger tighten only.
- Alternate tightening M10 bolts (at EGR) and M8 Socket Head Screws (at Angle bracket).
- Finish tightening all Strut Hardware (M10 to 40/45 |b/ft and M8 to 25/30 lb/ft.
- Re-check hardware after 75 to 100 miles.
