Installation Precautions
- Choose a suitable installation location away from air conditioners, curtains, fans, plants, etc. to avoid interference.
- Avoid direct beam irradiation on the ground, walls or doors to minimize reflections and indirect detections.
- Configure appropriate detection distance, sensitivity and delay time to reduce interference from objects.
- Keep the sensor surface clean and free from dust and obstacles.
- Ensure the sensor has enough space around it for proper air circulation.
Troubleshooting
Device Not Powering On
Cause: Power supply issues, damaged USB cable, or insufficient current.
Solution:
- Use a reliable USB cable and power source capable of providing at least 500 mA.
- Check for damaged connectors or broken solder joints.
- If using a battery, ensure it is charged and connected properly.
ESP32C3 Not Detected by Computer
Cause: Driver issues, faulty USB cable, or incorrect boot mode.
Solution:
- Install the latest CP210x/CH340 drivers depending on your ESP32C3 board.
- Hold BOOT button during connection for programming mode.
- Try a different USB cable or port.
Failed Firmware Upload / Flashing Errors
Cause: Incorrect board settings, wrong COM port, or unstable USB connection.
Solution:
- Select the correct board in your IDE (e.g., Arduino IDE → ESP32C3 Dev Module).
- Verify the COM port matches your device.
- Press and hold BOOT while uploading if auto-reset fails.
- Use a powered USB hub to avoid unstable connections.
Device Keeps Resetting
Cause: Power fluctuations, short circuits, or faulty firmware.
Solution:
- Check for shorts on GPIO pins or external connections.
- Ensure the power supply is stable.
- Re-flash the firmware with the latest version.
