Grounding the Unit
1. Use a grounding wire to ground the unit by connecting one end
to the grounding terminal and the other end to a suitable grounded
object. Proper grounding helps prevent damage from power surges or

control from an ATEN KE transmitter to a KE8980MR, it can established using Cat 5e/6/6a cables through one of the following methods. · For high bandwidth, connect the unit’s RJ-45 port (LAN 1) with
KE6940AiT (example) to the same network via Cat 5e/6/6a cable. · For low bandwidth, connect the unit’s RJ-45 port (LAN 2) with KE6940AiT (example) to the same network via Cat 5e/6/6a cable. Note: All the KE transmitter and receiver installed within the same network can be managed using CCKM, ATEN’s dedicated KVM over IP Matrix Manager. 7 Connect the unit to power, thereby turning it on, by plugging the power adapter provided into an AC power source and plugging its cable into the unit’s DC power jack. 8 For more information on how to setup the KE6940AiT (example), please refer to its QSG or user manual.

un clavier USB, à une souris USB et à deux lecteurs flash USB au maximum. 5 Connectez le port série RS-232 de l’unité à une console série. 6 Le récepteur KE8980MR est équipé de deux ports RJ-45. L’extension du contrôle d’un émetteur ATEN KE à un récepteur KE8980MR peut être réalisée à l’aide de câbles CAT 5e/6/6a à parti de l’une des méthodes suivantes. · Pour une bande passante large, connectez le port RJ-45 de
l’unité (LAN 1) au récepteur KE6940AiT (exemple) sur le même réseau à l’aide d’un câble CAT 5e/6/6a. · Pour une large bande passante étroite, connectez le port RJ-45 de l’unité (LAN 2) au récepteur KE6940AiT (exemple) sur le même réseau à l’aide d’un câble CAT 5e/6/6a. 1 Erden Sie das Gerät mit Hilfe einer Erdungsleitung, indem Sie das eine Ende der Erdungsleitung an der Erdungsklemme anschließen und das andere Ende mit einem geeigneten geerdeten Gegenstand verbinden. Hinweis: Überspringen Sie diesen Schritt nicht. Eine ordnungsgemäße Erdung hilft dabei, Schäden am Gerät durch Überspannung oder elektrostatische Aufladung vorzubeugen.

2 Verbinden Sie die DisplayPort- und HDMI-Ausgänge des Geräts mit zwei DisplayPort- und zwei HDMI-Monitoren.
3 Verbinden Sie den Audio-Anschluss des Geräts mit einem Kopfhörer.
4 Verbinden Sie die USB-Typ-A-Anschlüsse des Geräts (Tastatur/ Maus/Peripheriegerät) mit einer USB-Tastatur, einer USB-Maus und bis zu zwei USB-Sticks.
5 Verbinden Sie den seriellen RS-232-Anschluss des Geräts mit einem seriellen Konsolengerät.
6 Der KE8980MR ist mit zwei RJ-45-Anschlüssen ausgestattet. Um die Steuerung von einem ATEN KE-Sender auf einen KE8980MR zu erweitern, kann sie mit Cat 5e/6/6a-Kabeln über eine der folgenden Methoden hergestellt werden. · Bei einer hohen Bandbreite verbinden Sie den RJ-45-Anschluss (LAN 1) des Geräts mit dem KE6940AiT (Beispiel) über ein Cat 5e/6/6a-Kabel mit demselben Netzwerk. · Bei einer niedrigen Bandbreite verbinden Sie den RJ-45Anschluss (LAN 2) des Geräts mit dem KE6940AiT (Beispiel) über ein Cat 5e/6/6a-Kabel mit demselben Netzwerk. 1 Utilizzare un filo di messa a terra per collegare a massa l’unità, collegando un’estremità al terminale di messa a terra e l’altra estremità a un oggetto idoneo dotato di messa a terra. Nota: Eseguire sempre questo passaggio. Un’adeguata messa a terra permette di evitare danni all’unità dovuti a sovratensioni o elettricità statica.
2 Collegare le porte di uscita DisplayPort e HDMI dell’unità a due monitor DisplayPort e due monitor HDMI.

3 Collegare la porta audio dell’unità alle cuffie. 4 Collegare le porte USB di tipo A dell’unità (tastiera/mouse/
periferica) a una tastiera USB, un mouse USB e fino a due unità flash USB. 5 Collegare la porta seriale RS-232 dell’unità a un dispositivo console seriale. 6 Il KE8980MR è dotato di due porte RJ-45. Per estendere il controllo da un trasmettitore ATEN KE a un KE8980MR, è possibile utilizzare cavi Cat 5e/6/6a tramite uno dei seguenti metodi. · Per un’elevata larghezza di banda, collegare la porta RJ-45
dell’unità (LAN 1) con KE6940AiT (esempio) alla stessa rete tramite cavo Cat 5e/6/6a. · Per una larghezza di banda ridotta, collegare la porta RJ-45 dell’unità (LAN 2) con KE6940AiT (esempio) alla stessa rete tramite cavo Cat 5e/6/6a.
