2. Safety Information

• Ensure the power supply is disconnected before installation or maintenance.
• This transformer converts 120V AC to 12V DC. It is compatible only with low voltage LED landscape lights. Do not use with Halogen lights.
• The total wattage of connected lights must not exceed 80% of the transformer's wattage (e.g., for a 60W transformer, total load should not exceed 48W).
• Install the transformer in a location protected from direct water exposure, although it is weatherproof.
• The external photocell sensor allows for indoor transformer installation while the sensor is mounted outdoors.

5. Setup

5.1 Mounting the Transformer

1. Choose a suitable wall-mount location. Ensure it is at least 1 foot (30 cm) above ground.
2. Use the provided mounting hardware to securely attach the transformer to a stable surface.

5.2 Connecting the Photocell Sensor

The external photocell sensor is designed for flexible placement. Connect the sensor cable to the designated port on the transformer. The sensor can be mounted outdoors to detect ambient light, while the transformer unit can be installed indoors for protection.

5.3 Wiring Landscape Lights

Connect the wires from your low voltage LED landscape lights to the terminal output ends (12V DC) on the transformer. Ensure all connections are secure. The total wattage of all connected lights must not exceed 60W, and for optimal performance and safety, it is recommended to keep the load below 80% of the transformer's capacity (48W).

6. Operating Modes

The transformer offers multiple operating modes, easily selectable by pressing the control button.

• OFF: The lights remain off.
• ON: The lights remain continuously on.
• AUTO (Dusk to Dawn): The transformer automatically turns on the lights at dusk and turns them off at dawn, based on the external photocell sensor's detection.
• Countdown Timer (2H/4H/6H/8H/10H): The transformer automatically turns on the lights at dusk and turns them off after the selected duration (2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 hours).

Memory Function

The transformer includes a memory function. If power is interrupted, the unit will resume the last set operating mode once power is restored, eliminating the need for frequent readjustment.

8. Troubleshooting

• Lights Not Turning On:
  • Check if the transformer is properly plugged into a working 120V AC outlet.
  • Verify the selected operating mode (OFF, ON, AUTO, Countdown).
  • Ensure the photocell sensor is clean and exposed to light (for AUTO/Countdown modes).
  • Inspect all wiring connections to the landscape lights for looseness or damage.
  • Confirm the total wattage of connected lights does not exceed the transformer's capacity (60W max, 48W recommended).
• Automatic Circuit Breaker: The transformer has a built-in automatic circuit breaker. If a short circuit or overload occurs, the power will automatically cut off to protect your fixtures. Disconnect the power, check for faults in your lighting system, and then reconnect.
• Mode Not Retained: The memory function should retain the last setting. If not, ensure the power supply is stable.
