Main Components:

Setup

1. Unpacking

  • Remove all packaging materials, including foam and tape.
  • Inspect the ice maker for any damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.
  • Ensure all accessories are present: ice scoop, user manual.

2. Placement

  • Place the ice maker on a flat, stable, and level surface.
  • Ensure there is at least 6 inches (15 cm) of space around the appliance for proper ventilation.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources (e.g., stove, furnace, radiator).
  • Do not place in an enclosed cabinet.

3. Initial Cleaning

  • Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker.
  • Wash the ice basket and ice scoop with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Clean the interior with a soft cloth dampened with a solution of water and vinegar (1:1 ratio).
  • Drain any remaining water through the drain plug.
  • Allow the unit to air dry completely before use.

Operating Instructions

1. Filling the Water Reservoir

  • Open the water reservoir lid.
  • Fill the reservoir with potable water up to the "MAX" fill line. Do not overfill.
  • Close the lid securely.
  • Note: For best results, use filtered or distilled water to prevent mineral buildup.

2. Making Ice

  • Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  • Press the "POWER" button on the control panel. The "ICE MAKING" indicator light will illuminate.
  • The ice maker will begin the ice-making cycle. The first batch of ice may take longer and might be smaller.
  • Ice will be dispensed into the ice basket.
  • When the ice basket is full, the "ICE FULL" indicator light will turn on, and the ice making process will pause. Remove ice to resume.
  • When the water reservoir is empty, the "ADD WATER" indicator light will turn on. Add more water to resume.

Maintenance and Cleaning

1. Regular Cleaning

  • Daily: Empty the ice basket and wipe it clean.
  • Weekly: Drain any remaining water from the reservoir using the drain plug. Clean the interior with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

2. Descaling (Monthly or as needed)

Mineral buildup can affect ice quality and machine performance. Descale your ice maker regularly.

  1. Unplug the unit and drain all water.
  2. Prepare a descaling solution: Mix 1 part white vinegar with 1 part water. Alternatively, use a commercial ice maker descaling solution according to its instructions.
  3. Pour the solution into the water reservoir up to the MAX fill line.
  4. Plug in the unit and run 2-3 ice-making cycles. Discard the ice produced during this process.
  5. Drain the descaling solution completely.
  6. Rinse the reservoir thoroughly by filling it with clean water and running 2-3 cycles, discarding the ice each time, to remove any residual descaling solution.
  7. Unplug and dry the interior.
