3. Setup

3.1. What's in the Box

3.2. Mounting the Device

To securely attach your BSC500 to your bicycle's handlebars, follow these steps:

  1. Place the rubber pad on your handlebar at the desired mounting location.
  2. Position the handlebar mount on top of the rubber pad.
  3. Use the fixing elastics to secure the mount firmly to the handlebar. Ensure the mount is stable and does not rotate freely.
  4. Align the BSC500 with the mount and twist it clockwise until it locks into place.

3.3. Initial Power On and Pairing

Press and hold the power button to turn on your BSC500. Follow the on-screen prompts to select your language and initial settings. For full functionality, download the iGPSPORT app on your smartphone and pair your device via Bluetooth.

4.1. Screen and Controls

The BSC500 features a 3.3-inch color touchscreen and physical buttons for navigation and control. The screen is designed for readability in various light conditions, and its brightness adjusts automatically.

4.2. Navigation

The BSC500 offers intelligent map navigation with voice guidance. Routes can be planned or imported through the iGPSPORT app. The device supports offline maps and automatic rerouting if you go off course.

  • Route Planning: Use the iGPSPORT app to create or import GPX routes from Strava or Komoot.
  • Starting Navigation: Select a planned route on the device. The BSC500 will provide turn-by-turn directions, including voice prompts.
  • Automatic Rerouting: If you deviate from the route, the device will quickly detect this and recalculate a new path to guide you back.
  • Resume Last Ride: The device can automatically resume an unfinished ride, ensuring continuous data recording.

4.3. Data Display and Customization

4.4. Sensor Connectivity

The BSC500 supports both ANT+ and Bluetooth for connecting external sensors and accessories.
