Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that may damage the finish.
  • Drawer Slides: Periodically check the drawer slides for smooth operation. If necessary, apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to the slides.
  • Wheels: Inspect wheels regularly for debris or damage. Clean as needed to ensure smooth rolling.
  • Corrosion Prevention: The tool chest is painted with a corrosion-resistant coating. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or harsh chemicals to maintain its protective finish.

Troubleshooting

  • Drawers not opening: Ensure the top tool chest is properly seated on the bottom cabinet. Some units feature an interlock mechanism where the top lid must be open for the drawers to unlock. Check if the locking mechanism is engaged.
  • Wheels not rolling smoothly: Check for debris caught in the wheels or around the axles. Ensure wheel brakes are disengaged. Lubricate wheel bearings if necessary.
  • Locking mechanism not working: Verify that the key is fully inserted and turned correctly. Ensure no items are obstructing the locking bar or drawer movement.
