1. Introduction and Overview
Thank you for choosing the ECO-WORTHY EnergyTrek 12V 314Ah LiFePO4 Lithium Battery and 20A Charger. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your product. Please read it thoroughly before use.
The ECO-WORTHY 12V 314Ah EnergyTrek LiFePO4 battery is designed for reliable power storage, featuring a robust 200A Battery Management System (BMS) for comprehensive protection. It comes bundled with a versatile 12V/24V 20A LiFePO4 Battery Charger, capable of automatically detecting voltage and offering multiple current options (5A/10A/15A/20A for 12V, 5A/10A for 24V) to ensure safe charging based on battery capacity.
Key features include real-time battery status monitoring via Bluetooth using the 'ECO-WORTHY' app, which displays voltage, current, and capacity. The app supports 9 languages for user convenience. The integrated 200A BMS provides protection against overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, high temperatures, short circuits, and includes a crucial low-temperature cutoff function. Charging stops at -7 °C, discharging at < -20 °C, and charging resumes at ≥ 0 °C, preventing damage and extending battery life, especially in cold conditions.
This battery is highly scalable, compatible with 4P2S/2P4S configurations, allowing connections of up to 4 batteries in series and 4 in parallel. This enables the creation of systems such as 25.6V 1256Ah or 51.2V 628Ah, offering a maximum energy storage capacity of 32.15 kWh for home storage and comprehensive solar installations.
2. Safety Information
Always prioritize safety when handling batteries and electrical equipment. Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious injury or damage to the product.
- BMS Protection: The integrated 200A BMS protects against overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, high temperatures, and short circuits.
- Low-Temperature Operation: The BMS will stop charging if the battery temperature drops below -7 °C and stop discharging if it drops below -20 °C. Charging will resume when the temperature is ≥ 0 °C. Do not attempt to force charge or discharge outside these parameters.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around the battery during charging and discharging to prevent heat buildup.
- Connections: Always ensure connections are secure and correct polarity is observed (positive to positive, negative to negative). Loose connections can cause sparks and overheating.
- Inverter Compatibility: When connecting to an inverter, be aware of potential high inrush currents. Some inverters may trigger the BMS protection due to high startup current (>200A). Consider using a pre-charge resistor or a soft-start feature if available on your inverter.
- Installation in Vehicles: This battery does not possess an ECE R10 certificate. Therefore, it is not permitted for permanent installation in an RV or for connection to the vehicle's electrical system while driving. It can be transported and used within an RV when stationary.
- Water and Moisture: Keep the battery and charger away from water and excessive moisture.
- Children and Pets: Keep the battery and charger out of reach of children and pets.

5.3 Low-Temperature Operation
The BMS automatically manages charging and discharging in cold conditions:
- Charging is interrupted at -7 °C.
- Discharging is interrupted at < -20 °C.
- Charging resumes at ≥ 0 °C.
This feature protects the battery from damage and extends its lifespan during winter use.
5.4 Storage Mode
The battery features an ultra-low self-consumption storage mode to reduce standby power consumption, preserving charge over longer periods when not in use.

6. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your ECO-WORTHY battery:
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check the battery terminals and cables for corrosion or loose connections. Clean terminals if necessary.
- Temperature Management: Avoid operating or storing the battery in extreme temperatures outside the specified range. The BMS provides protection, but optimal performance is achieved within recommended temperatures.
- Charging: Always use the dedicated ECO-WORTHY 20A Smart Battery Charger. Do not use chargers not designed for LiFePO4 batteries.
- Storage: For long-term storage, ensure the battery is charged to approximately 50-70% State of Charge (SOC) and stored in a cool, dry place. The battery's storage mode helps minimize self-discharge.
- Cleaning: Keep the battery clean and free from dust and debris. Use a dry cloth for cleaning.
7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Automatic Alarm and Status Indicators
The battery features unique SOC and status indicator lights for quick detection of battery level and condition. If the battery enters an abnormal state, an alarm will sound automatically. This alarm can be deactivated via the 'ECO-WORTHY' app or the control panel on the battery (if applicable).

Figure 7.1: Battery Internal Components and Protection Features
7.2 BMS Reset
In certain situations, such as after a protection event (e.g., overcurrent shutdown), the BMS may need to be reset. Please note that the BMS can typically only be reset via a charger. It cannot be reset via a button on the battery, through the app, or by simply disconnecting the load and waiting. If the BMS has triggered protection, connect the battery to the ECO-WORTHY 20A Smart Battery Charger to reset it.
7.3 Inverter Inrush Current
If connecting the battery to an inverter and the BMS immediately shuts down, it may be due to a high inrush current from the inverter (>200A). The BMS is designed to protect the battery from excessive current. To mitigate this, consider using a pre-charge resistor or an inverter with a soft-start function to limit the initial current surge.
