5. Setup

5.1 Placement

Place the dehumidifier on a firm, level surface in an area where the ambient temperature will not fall below 41°F (5°C). Ensure there is at least 8 inches (20 cm) of space around the unit for proper air circulation.

5.2 Power Connection

Connect the power cord to a grounded electrical outlet. The unit will enter standby mode.

5.3 Drainage Options

The DGVAM V2 Dehumidifier offers two methods for water removal:

  1. Manual Drainage (Water Tank): The unit collects water in its internal 1.72-gallon water tank. When the tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off and an indicator light will illuminate. Remove the tank, empty the water, and reinsert it securely to resume operation.
  2. Continuous Drainage (Drain Hose): For continuous operation without manual emptying, attach the included 40-inch drain hose to the continuous drain port on the back of the unit. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to a floor drain or suitable receptacle to allow gravity to drain the water.
