The remote control provides convenient access to all functions from a distance. Ensure batteries are correctly inserted. Point the remote control directly at the unit's receiver when operating.

5.3 Operating Modes

  • Cooling Mode: Select this mode for active cooling. The temperature can be adjusted from 16°C to 31°C. The unit will cool the room to the set temperature.
  • Fan Mode: In this mode, the unit circulates air without cooling. You can select between two fan speeds (low and high).
  • Dehumidifier Mode: This mode helps reduce humidity in the room. The unit will extract moisture from the air. The fan speed is typically fixed in this mode.

The air louvers are directional, allowing you to manually adjust the airflow direction to optimize cooling distribution in the room.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your air conditioner. Always unplug the unit before performing any maintenance.

6.1 Filter Cleaning

The unit is equipped with a washable filter. It is recommended to clean the air filter every two weeks, or more frequently depending on usage and air quality. Remove the filter, wash it gently with lukewarm water and mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.

6.2 Water Drainage

During dehumidification or cooling, water will accumulate inside the unit. The Bimar INB-CP521 offers both manual and continuous drainage options. For manual drainage, periodically remove the drain plug and allow water to empty into a suitable container. For continuous drainage, connect the provided drainage tube to the drain outlet and direct it to a floor drain or a larger container.

6.3 Storage

Before storing the unit for an extended period, ensure all water is drained, the filter is clean and dry, and the unit is thoroughly cleaned. Store the unit in a dry, cool place, preferably in its original packaging.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your air conditioner, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Unit does not turn on: Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Ensure the unit's power button is pressed. Check for tripped circuit breakers.
  • Unit is not cooling effectively: Verify that the exhaust hose is properly installed and sealed to the window kit. Ensure the air filter is clean. Check if the room temperature setting is lower than the ambient temperature. Close all windows and doors in the room.
  • Water leakage: Ensure the drain plug is securely in place if using manual drainage. If using continuous drainage, check that the drainage tube is properly connected and not blocked or kinked.
  • Unusual noise: Check if the unit is placed on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there are no obstructions near the fan or air inlets/outlets.
  • Remote control not working: Check and replace batteries if necessary. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the unit's receiver.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact customer support.
