4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your FN-W25 water pump into a compatible pet water fountain:
- Disassemble the Fountain: Carefully separate the components of your pet water fountain, including the water tank, tray, and any existing pump or filter housing.
- Position the Pump: Place the FN-W25 water pump at the bottom of the water tank, ensuring it sits securely. The pump typically has suction cups on its base to adhere to the tank floor.
- Connect the Tubing: Attach the fountain's water outlet tube to the nozzle of the FN-W25 pump. Ensure a snug fit to prevent leaks.
- Install Filter (if applicable): If your fountain uses a filter or sponge, ensure it is correctly placed around or within the pump's intake area. The pump sponge is designed to fit over the pump's intake to filter debris.

- Fill with Water: Fill the water tank with clean water up to the recommended maximum level, ensuring the pump is fully submerged.
- Reassemble Fountain: Carefully reassemble the remaining parts of your pet water fountain.
- Connect Power: Plug the pump's power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions
Once installed and powered on, the FN-W25 pump will begin circulating water. Note the following:
- Initial Operation: When the water level in the tank is sufficient, the water pump needs to expel air from the transparent water pipe before it starts drawing water effectively. Therefore, the initial water flow may appear small or intermittent for a short period. This is normal.
- Quiet Operation: The FN-W25 pump is designed for ultra-quiet operation, typically below 25dB, ensuring minimal disturbance to your pets and household.
- Low Power Consumption: The pump operates efficiently with low power consumption, rated at 1.5W.

6. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your water pump and fountain.
- Cleaning Frequency: Depending on the actual level of dirt and grime, the water pump and water tank need to be cleaned promptly. It is recommended to clean the pump and fountain at least once every 1-2 weeks.
- Pump Cleaning:
- Unplug the pump from the power source.
- Remove the pump from the fountain.
- Disassemble the pump by carefully removing the front cover and impeller.
- Clean all parts with a small brush (e.g., a toothbrush) and warm, soapy water to remove any hair, debris, or mineral buildup.
- Rinse thoroughly and reassemble the pump.
- Filter/Sponge Replacement: Regularly check the pump sponge and any other filters in your fountain. Replace them according to your fountain's instructions or when they appear visibly dirty or clogged.
- Water Level: Always ensure the water level is above the minimum mark to prevent the pump from running dry, which can cause damage.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your FN-W25 water pump, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Water Flow or Weak Flow:
- Check Power: Ensure the pump is properly plugged in and the power outlet is functional.
- Water Level: Verify that the water level in the fountain is sufficient and the pump is fully submerged.
- Air in Pipe: If newly started, allow a few minutes for the pump to expel air from the transparent water pipe. Initial flow may be weak.
- Clogs: Disassemble and clean the pump, impeller, and tubing to remove any hair, debris, or mineral buildup.
- Pump is Noisy:
- Water Level: Ensure the pump is fully submerged. Low water levels can cause the pump to draw air and become noisy.
- Debris: Clean the pump and impeller thoroughly, as trapped debris can cause vibrations and noise.
- Placement: Ensure the pump is sitting flat and securely at the bottom of the tank.
- Pump Stops Working:
- Power Supply: Check the power connection and try a different outlet.
- Overheating: Ensure the pump has not been running dry. Allow it to cool down before attempting to restart.
- Blockage/Damage: Inspect the pump for any visible damage or severe blockages that cleaning cannot resolve.
