Assembly
The EWORK Electric Dethatcher and Scarifier is designed for quick and tool-free assembly.
Handle Assembly
- Unfold the handle sections and align them with the main unit.
- Secure the handle sections using the provided quick-lock knobs. Ensure all connections are tight.
- Attach the cable clips to the handle to manage the power cord.
Grass Catcher Attachment
- Assemble the grass catcher bag by inserting the frame into the fabric bag.
- Hook the assembled grass catcher onto the rear of the main unit. Ensure it is securely attached to prevent detachment during operation.

Selecting Dethatcher or Scarifier Mode
The machine comes with two interchangeable cylinders: one for dethatching and one for scarifying. To switch between modes:
- Ensure the machine is unplugged from the power source.
- Carefully turn the machine on its side to access the cylinder.
- Utilize the tool-free quick swap mechanism to remove the currently installed cylinder.
- Insert the desired cylinder (dethatcher or scarifier) and secure it in place.

Adjusting Working Depth
The machine features a 5-position depth adjustment lever to customize the working depth according to your lawn's condition and desired results.
- Locate the depth adjustment lever on the side of the machine.
- Move the lever to select one of the five available depth settings. Refer to the markings on the machine for specific depth indications.
- Start with a higher setting for initial passes and adjust to a lower setting if more aggressive treatment is needed.

Starting and Operating the Machine
- Connect the power cord to a suitable outdoor extension cord, ensuring the cord lock system is engaged.
- To start, press and hold the safety button, then pull the bail switch lever towards the handle. Release the safety button once the motor starts.
- Push the machine forward at a steady pace, overlapping slightly with each pass to ensure even coverage.
- To stop the machine, release the bail switch lever.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your dethatcher and scarifier.
Emptying the Collection Bag
The 9.2 Gallon collection bag should be emptied regularly to maintain efficient debris collection and prevent clogging.
- Turn off the machine and disconnect it from the power source.

- Empty the collected thatch and debris into a suitable receptacle.
