2. Setup Instructions

2.1 Software Installation

To fully utilize the Frigga M2D, it is recommended to install the Frigga Data Center software. This software allows for advanced configuration and detailed data analysis.

  • For Windows users, download the Frigga Data Center PC Tool from the official Frigga website.
  • For Mac OS users, search for "Frigga Data Center" in the Appstore and download.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

2.2 Device Configuration

3. Operating the Device

3.1 Starting and Stopping Recording

The Frigga M2D features simple button controls for starting and stopping data recording.

  • To Start: Long press the green "START" button for 5 seconds until the blue LED blinks, then release it within 40 seconds. The screen will display "REC".
  • To Stop: Long press the red "STOP" button for 5 seconds until the red LED blinks, then release it within 40 seconds.

3.2 Understanding the Display

The LCD screen provides real-time information about the device's status and recorded data.

3.3 Exporting Data

Data from the Frigga M2D can be exported in several ways:

  • Auto-generated PDF & CSV: Plug the logger into any computer's USB port. The device will automatically generate PDF and CSV reports without requiring additional software.
  • Export via Frigga Data Center Software: Connect the logger to a computer with the Frigga Data Center software installed to export all current and historical reports.
  • Export via Frigga Cloud Platform: All reports can be uploaded to and exported from the Frigga Cloud Platform for remote access and management.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Battery Replacement

The Frigga M2D uses a CR2450 battery. To replace the battery:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the device.
  2. Use a coin or small tool to twist the battery cover counter-clockwise to open.
  3. Remove the old CR2450 battery.
  4. Insert a new CR2450 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
  5. Replace the battery cover and twist clockwise to secure it.

4.2 Cleaning and Care

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Frigga M2D, wipe the device clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or submerging the device in liquids, despite its IP65 waterproof rating, to prevent potential damage to the USB port or internal components.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Frigga M2D data logger, consider the following general troubleshooting steps:

  • Device Not Responding: Ensure the battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. Replace the battery if necessary.
  • Data Not Exporting: Verify the USB connection to your computer. If using the Frigga Data Center software, ensure it is properly installed and updated. Try exporting directly as PDF/CSV by plugging the device into a different USB port.
  • Incorrect Readings: Check if the device is placed in an environment within its specified operating temperature range. Ensure no physical damage to the device.
