Setup
Installing the Battery
The OTraki GM816 comes with a CR2032 lithium battery. Follow these steps to install or replace the battery:
- Remove the yellow silicone protective cover from the anemometer.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Insert a coin into the slot on the battery cover and turn it counter-clockwise to open.
- Insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
- Replace the battery cover by turning it clockwise with a coin until secure.
- Reattach the yellow silicone protective cover.
Note: To prevent battery drain and product damage, ensure the device is powered off when not in use for extended periods.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the "MODE" button for approximately 2 seconds.
- To Power Off: Press and hold both the "MODE" and "SET" buttons simultaneously for 1 second. The device will also automatically power off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery.
Mode Switching and Unit Selection
The OTraki GM816 features two main modes for display and unit selection:
- Display Mode: Press the "MODE" button briefly to cycle through different display modes for wind speed (e.g., current, maximum, average).
- Unit Selection: Press and hold the "MODE" button for 3 seconds to enter unit setting mode. The wind speed unit (m/s) will flash, and temperature/wind speed values will disappear. Use the "SET" button to select your desired wind speed unit (m/s, km/h, ft/min, knots, mph) and temperature unit (°C/°F). Press the "MODE" button again to confirm your selection. Settings are saved even after power off.

Taking Measurements
Once powered on and units are set, simply hold the anemometer in the desired location. Ensure the impeller is facing the wind direction for accurate readings. The LCD will display real-time wind speed and temperature.
