Setup and Installation
Safety Warning: Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with all local and national electrical codes. Ensure all power sources are disconnected before beginning installation to prevent electric shock.
- Circuit Connection: Connect the public power supply and the backup power supply according to the circuit diagram. Ensure that the two circuit breakers are connected in parallel and that the phase order is consistent for both sources.
- Neutral Wire Connection: If using a Class 3 circuit breaker, the neutral wire must be correctly connected to the designated neutral wire terminals (typically labeled 2# and 4#) on the ATS.
- Pre-Installation Check: Before final installation, verify all connections and ensure the product is installed in a dry environment, free from moisture and excessive dust.
- Mounting: Securely mount the ATS in a suitable enclosure or panel, ensuring adequate ventilation and clearance for wiring.

Operating Instructions
The NLQ4-125-4P ATS is designed for automatic operation, providing seamless power transfer between primary and secondary power sources.
Automatic Mode
In automatic mode, the device continuously monitors the primary power source. In the event of a power failure (voltage loss or phase cut) from the primary source, the ATS will automatically switch to the secondary power source to maintain power to the connected loads. Once the primary power source is restored, the ATS will automatically switch back to the primary source.
Manual Operation
The ATS also supports manual operation. Refer to the switch on the device, typically labeled 'Auto' and 'Manual'. To manually switch between power sources, carefully follow the instructions on the device itself. Always ensure safety precautions are followed during manual operation.

Maintenance and Environmental Conditions
Proper maintenance and adherence to environmental guidelines ensure the longevity and reliable operation of your ATS.
- Temperature: The ambient temperature should not exceed 40 °C (104 °F) and should not fall below -5 °C (23 °F). The average temperature over a 24-hour period should not exceed 35 °C (95 °F).
- Altitude: The installation site altitude should not exceed 2,000 meters (6,560 feet).
- Humidity: At a maximum temperature of 40 °C, the relative humidity should not exceed 50%. At lower temperatures, higher humidity is permissible (e.g., 90% at 25 °C). Special measures should be taken to prevent condensation on product surfaces due to temperature changes.
- Environment: Ensure the installation area has low pollution, is free from severe vibrations and shocks, corrosive environments, and excessive dust.
- Cleaning: Periodically inspect the device for dust accumulation and clean with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Inspections: Regular visual inspections by qualified personnel are recommended to check for loose connections or signs of wear.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your Automatic Transfer Switch, consider the following general troubleshooting steps. For complex issues, always consult a qualified electrician.
- No Power Transfer: Check if both primary and secondary power sources are active. Verify all wiring connections are secure and correct according to the installation diagram.
- Indicator Lights Off: Ensure the control power supply to the ATS is active. Check for any tripped circuit breakers upstream.
- Unusual Noises/Smells: Immediately disconnect all power to the unit and contact a qualified technician. Do not attempt to operate the device.
- Intermittent Operation: Review environmental conditions to ensure they are within specified limits (temperature, humidity, dust).
