Assembly Instructions
Follow these steps to assemble your Shop-Vac wet/dry vacuum. Some steps may require firm pressure.
- Caster Installation: Turn the tank upside down. Firmly press each caster into the designated slots on the bottom rim of the tank. Ensure they are securely seated. Note: The casters are designed for a tight fit and may require significant force. Align them carefully before pressing to ensure a square installation.
- Side Handle Attachment: Locate the two side handles and the four plastic alignment parts. Insert the plastic alignment parts into the tank from the inside, ensuring they align with the handle screw holes. Position the side handles on the outside of the tank and secure them with the provided screws. A 5/16 nut driver or socket is recommended for tightening the screws.
- Hose Connection: Attach the 7 ft x 1-7/8" hose to the inlet port on the front of the vacuum tank. Twist the hose connector clockwise to secure it firmly. This ensures the hose does not detach during use.
- Filter Installation (Dry Pick-Up): For dry vacuuming, install the cartridge filter over the filter cage and secure it with the retainer. Place the filter bag inside the tank, ensuring the opening aligns with the hose inlet.
- Filter Installation (Wet Pick-Up): For wet vacuuming, remove the cartridge filter and filter bag. Install the foam sleeve over the filter cage.
- Accessory Storage: Utilize the on-board storage slots and the tool holder to keep all accessories organized and within reach. The power cord can be wrapped around the top handle for neat storage.

Operating Instructions
Dry Vacuuming
For dry debris, ensure the cartridge filter and filter bag are correctly installed. Attach the desired nozzle (e.g., 12" nozzle, floor nozzle, crevice tool, or round brush) to the hose. Plug the vacuum into a grounded electrical outlet and turn the power switch to the 'ON' position. Guide the nozzle over the dry debris to be collected.

Wet Vacuuming
Before wet vacuuming, remove the cartridge filter and filter bag, and install the foam sleeve over the filter cage. Attach the appropriate nozzle for liquid pickup. Plug in the vacuum and turn it on. Guide the nozzle over the liquid spill. The vacuum will automatically shut off when the tank is full. Empty the tank using the large drain port after wet pickup.

Blower Function
To use the blower function, detach the hose from the inlet port and connect it to the blower port located on the motor head. Ensure the connection is secure. Turn on the vacuum and direct the airflow to clear leaves, grass clippings, or other light debris from surfaces like patios or driveways.

Maintenance
Emptying the Tank
- Dry Debris: Unlatch the motor head and carefully lift it off the tank. Dispose of collected dry debris.
- Liquids: For liquids, unscrew the large drain port cap located at the bottom of the tank to easily empty the water. This eliminates the need to lift and pour the entire tank.

Filter Care
- Cartridge Filter: For dry use, clean the cartridge filter by gently tapping it to dislodge dust or by rinsing it with water (allow to dry completely before reuse). Replace when damaged or suction decreases significantly.
- Foam Sleeve: For wet use, the foam sleeve can be rinsed with water and allowed to air dry.
- Filter Bag: Replace the filter bag when it is full or when suction performance is reduced.
General Cleaning
Wipe down the exterior of the vacuum and accessories with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure all parts are dry before storing.
