4.1 Connecting Fans and ARGB Devices

4.2 Power Connection

Connect the provided SATA power cable from your power supply unit (PSU) to the SATA power input port on the hub. This provides stable power to all connected fans and ARGB devices.

4.3 Motherboard Synchronization

5. Operation

5.1 ARGB and PWM Synchronization

Once connected to your motherboard, the hub allows for synchronized control of ARGB lighting effects and PWM fan speeds through your motherboard's software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, ASRock Polychrome Sync).

5.2 Remote Control Functions

The included IR remote control provides direct access to various lighting modes and adjustments. Point the remote towards the hub's IR receiver for optimal functionality.

5.3 Important Notes

  • 12V 4-pin RGB Not Supported: This hub is designed for 3-pin 5V ARGB devices only. Do not connect 12V 4-pin RGB devices, as this may cause damage.
  • Fan Speed Recognition: Due to motherboard IC reading principles, only the fan connected to the red 'CPU FAN' port will have its speed recognized by the motherboard. Other fans connected to the hub will receive PWM signals but their individual speeds may not be reported to the motherboard.
  • Remote Control vs. Motherboard Control: The remote control offers independent lighting effects. If you wish to synchronize with your motherboard's software, ensure the hub is set to motherboard control mode (if applicable via remote or switch) and that the motherboard sync cable is properly connected.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Power to Fans/ARGB:
    - Ensure the SATA power cable is securely connected to both the hub and your PSU.
    - Verify your PSU is powered on.
  • ARGB Lights Not Working/Syncing:
    - Check all 3-pin ARGB connections to the hub and the motherboard sync cable connection.
    - Confirm that your motherboard's ARGB header is 5V 3-pin. Do not connect to 12V 4-pin RGB headers.
    - If using the remote, ensure it has a working battery and is pointed at the hub's IR receiver.
    - If using motherboard software, ensure the software is updated and the hub is in motherboard control mode.
  • Fans Not Spinning/Incorrect Speed:
    - Check all 4-pin PWM fan connections to the hub and the motherboard sync cable connection.
    - Ensure the CPU fan is connected to the red 'CPU FAN' port for proper speed reporting.
    - Verify fan headers on the motherboard are correctly configured in BIOS/UEFI.
  • Remote Control Not Responding:
    - Check the battery in the remote control and replace if necessary.
    - Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the hub's IR receiver.
