1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the VOCIC Z35 PackGo Rollator. This lightweight and portable rollator is designed to provide mobility assistance and support for seniors, offering stability and convenience for daily use and travel. Please read this manual thoroughly before assembly and use to ensure safe and proper operation.

2. Safety Guidelines

  • Weight Capacity: Do not exceed the maximum user weight of 300 lbs (136 kg).
  • Brake System: Always engage the foot brakes when sitting on the rollator or when stationary to prevent accidental movement.
  • Stability: Ensure the rollator is fully unfolded and all locking mechanisms are secure before use.
  • Terrain: Use the rollator on flat, stable surfaces. Avoid uneven terrain, stairs, or escalators.
  • Guidance: The rollator rolls with ease. Guide it gently and maintain a steady, controlled pace.
  • Supervision: Individuals with limited cognitive or physical abilities should use the rollator under supervision.
  • Maintenance: Regularly inspect all parts for wear and tear. Replace damaged components immediately.

4. Assembly Instructions

4.1 Unfolding the Rollator

  1. Unfold the front legs to a vertical position.
  2. Position the rollator upright.
  3. Push the lever right and pull the Z35 frame out to fully extend.
  4. Press the seat down until the buckle fully engages, securing the frame in the open position.

4.2 Wheel Installation

Attach the front and rear wheels to their respective positions on the rollator frame. Ensure they click securely into place.

4.3 Handle Height Adjustment

The handles are adjustable to 7 different levels, accommodating users from 4'11" to 5'11" (150 cm to 180 cm). To adjust the handle height:

  1. Locate the adjustment pins or buttons on the handle shafts.
  2. Press the pins/buttons and slide the handles up or down to the desired height.
  3. Ensure the pins/buttons fully engage in the adjustment holes to lock the handles securely in place.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Walking with the Rollator

Stand behind the rollator, holding both handles firmly. Push the rollator forward slightly, then step forward with one foot, followed by the other. Maintain a comfortable distance from the rollator and keep your back straight. Guide the rollator gently and maintain a controlled pace.

5.2 Using the Foot Brake System

The Z35 PackGo Rollator features an upgraded foot brake system. To engage the brakes:

  1. To slow down or stop, gently press down on the brake levers located above the rear wheels with your feet.
  2. To lock the brakes for sitting or when stationary, press down firmly on the brake levers until they click into the locked position.
  3. To release the brakes, lift the brake levers upwards.

Note: Using the foot-brake comfortably requires good leg strength for a steady stop. Ensure the brakes are fully engaged before sitting.

5.3 Using the Seat

The rollator is equipped with a segmented seat and backrest made of premium leather, designed for comfort during short rests. Before sitting:

  1. Ensure the rollator is on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Engage both foot brakes to lock the wheels.
  3. Carefully turn around and sit on the seat, using the handles for support.
  4. Do not use the rollator as a transport chair.

5.4 Folding for Storage and Transport

The Z35 PackGo features a revolutionary patented folding design for compact storage.

  1. Fold the seat upwards and the handles inwards.
  2. Collapse the frame inwards.
  3. Fold the rollator down completely.
  4. Press the front legs down and tighten the backrest strap to secure the folded position.

5.5 Wheel Removal

The Z35 PackGo features a 4-wheel quick-release function, allowing each high-quality mute rubber wheel to be detached independently with one click. This facilitates compact storage and cleaning.

  1. Locate the quick-release button on each wheel assembly.
  2. Press the button and pull the wheel away from the frame.
  3. Store the detached wheels in the dedicated dirty wheel compartment of the included VOCIC backpack.

6. Care and Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the frame and seat with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspection: Regularly check all screws, bolts, and moving parts to ensure they are tight and functioning correctly.
  • Wheels: Inspect wheels for wear and tear. Remove any debris that may accumulate around the axles.
  • Storage: Store the rollator in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Rollator does not unfold or fold smoothly: Check for any obstructions in the folding mechanism. Ensure the seat buckle is fully disengaged before folding and fully engaged after unfolding.
  • Brakes are not engaging or releasing properly: Inspect the brake levers and mechanisms for debris or damage. Ensure the wheels are clean.
  • Wheels are squeaking or not rolling smoothly: Clean the wheels and axles. Ensure no hair or debris is caught in the wheel mechanism.
  • Handles feel loose: Re-check the handle height adjustment pins to ensure they are fully engaged and locked.
