5. Audio Options
The ICON offers advanced audio options (PWM, Square, or High Square) to help better identify targets. It is compatible with wireless headphones, including the XP BH-02 bone conduction headphones for underwater use.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
After each use, especially in wet or sandy conditions, clean the coil and stem with fresh water. Wipe the remote control unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
2. Battery Care
To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Store the detector with a partial charge (around 50%) if not used for extended periods. Recharge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its health.
3. Storage
Store the metal detector in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Disassemble the stem if necessary for compact storage.
Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the battery is charged. Check all connections.
- No Signal/Erratic Signal: Check coil connection. Ensure no strong electromagnetic interference sources are nearby. Perform a ground balance.
- Poor Depth: Verify ground balance is correctly set for your soil conditions. Adjust sensitivity settings.
- False Signals: Reduce sensitivity. Ensure the coil cable is not loose or damaged. Avoid swinging the coil too fast.
