To replace switches:

  1. Carefully remove the keycap using the provided keycap puller.
  2. Use a switch puller (not included, but often comes with replacement switches) to gently extract the switch from the PCB.
  3. Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB and press firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure pins are not bent.
  4. Reattach the keycap.

2. Cleaning

Regular cleaning helps maintain the keyboard's appearance and functionality.

  • Keycaps: Remove keycaps using the keycap puller and clean them with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.
  • Keyboard Body: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the keyboard body. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but avoid excessive moisture.
  • Between Keys: Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keys.

Troubleshooting

  • Keyboard Not Connecting:
Ensure the keyboard is charged. Verify the correct connection mode (Bluetooth, 2.4GHz, or wired) is selected using FN key combinations. For Bluetooth, ensure your device's Bluetooth is on and the keyboard is in pairing mode. For 2.4GHz, ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged in. Try restarting your computer or the keyboard.
  • FN Key or Multimedia Keys Not Working (Mac/PC):
Some operating systems, particularly macOS, may require specific driver installations or system settings adjustments for full functionality of certain keys. Ensure you have downloaded and installed the latest software/drivers from the Womier website if available. In Linux systems, incompatible driver versions may cause abnormal F-zone functionality; this is a known behavior.
  • TFT Screen Not Displaying Correctly:
Check if the transparent protective film has been removed from the screen. If customizing GIFs or advanced settings, ensure the keyboard is in wired mode and connected to a Windows PC with the official software installed.
  • RGB Backlighting Issues:
If lighting is not working or not adjusting, ensure the backlight is turned on (FN + Backspace). Try cycling through lighting modes (FN + 8/9) and adjusting brightness (FN + ↑ / ↓). If issues persist, a factory reset (if available via software) might resolve it.
  • Keys Not Responding:
If individual keys are not responding, check if the switch is properly seated. If it's a hot-swappable switch, try removing and reinserting it, or replacing it with a known working switch.
