Troubleshooting Guide
Refer to this section for solutions to common issues.
- Issue: The Control Panel is Unresponsive
Solution: Turn off the machine, return the Steam Knob to OFF, and restart the machine.
- Issue: The Filter is Stuck in the Brew Head
Solution: Attach the portafilter to the brew head and turn it left and right until the filter falls down.
- Issue: Coffee Brewed Slowly or in Small Quantity
Solution: The ground coffee may be too fine or there may be too much coffee in the filter. If the ground coffee is not the issue, rotate the steam knob to let approximately 180ml of water come out of the steam wand.
- Issue: Poor Milk Froth
Solution: Ensure your milk is whole milk and chilled to 2-5°C (35.6-41°F). If the milk quality is not the problem, submerge the steam nozzle into the milk surface at a depth of 1cm.
- Issue: No or Less Steam
Solution: Check the water reservoir; fill it up to the MAX mark and reassemble it properly. Allow the machine to finish preheating. Rotate the steam knob gently until steam sprays out when milk frothing.
