Setup

1. Unpacking and Preparation

  • Remove all packaging materials and protective films from the robot and base station.
  • Ensure the main brush, side brush, and mop pads are correctly installed.

2. Base Station Placement

Place the base station on a hard, level surface against a wall. Ensure there is:

  • At least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on both sides.
  • At least 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) of clear space in front.
  • No direct sunlight or obstacles blocking the signal.

Connect the power cord to the base station and plug it into a wall outlet. Ensure the base station is powered on.

3. Initial Charging

Place the robot onto the charging contacts of the base station. The robot will automatically align and begin charging. For first-time use, fully charge the robot before operation (approximately 6 hours).

4. App Installation and Connection

  1. Download the MOVA app from your device's app store (iOS or Android).
  2. Create an account and log in.
  3. Follow the in-app instructions to add your MOVA P70 Pro Ultra robot. This typically involves connecting to the robot's Wi-Fi hotspot and then connecting the robot to your home Wi-Fi network.

5. Initial Mapping

Once connected, initiate a mapping run through the app. The robot will navigate your home to create a detailed map, which is essential for efficient cleaning and advanced features like zone cleaning and obstacle avoidance.

1. Cleaning Modes

The MOVA P70 Pro Ultra offers several cleaning modes, selectable via the app:

  • Vacuum Only: For dry debris removal.
  • Mop Only: For wet cleaning with the mop pads.
  • Vacuum & Mop: Simultaneous vacuuming and mopping. The robot can automatically lift mop pads on carpets.
  • Spot Cleaning: Cleans a specific small area intensively.
  • Zone Cleaning: Cleans user-defined areas on the map.

2. Scheduling

Set up cleaning schedules through the MOVA app. You can specify cleaning times, days, and modes for automated cleaning routines.

  • AI Obstacle Avoidance: The robot uses AI recognition to identify over 280 object types, adapting its cleaning path to avoid obstacles. You can customize object recognition and safe distances via the app.
  • MaxiReach Edge & Corner Cleaning: The flexible side brush and RoboSwing mop extension ensure up to 100% coverage in edges, corners, and under furniture.
  • AI Carpet Detection & Floor Protection: An ultrasonic sensor detects carpets. You can configure the robot to lift mops, avoid carpets, or boost suction power for deeper carpet cleaning.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the optimal performance and longevity of your MOVA P70 Pro Ultra. Always power off the robot and disconnect the base station before performing any maintenance.

1. Dust Box and Filter

  • Emptying: The base station automatically empties the dust box. Check the dust bag in the base station and replace it when full.
  • Cleaning: Periodically remove the dust box from the robot and clean it with a dry cloth. The filter can be gently tapped to remove dust; do not wash the HEPA filter with water.

2. Mop Pads

  • Automatic Washing: The base station features a 100°C (212°F) hot water mop washing system. This cleans the mop pads after each cleaning cycle.
  • Drying: After washing, the base station uses 70°C hot air for 1-hour auto-mop drying to prevent odors and mildew.
  • Replacement: Replace mop pads every 1-3 months, depending on usage.

3. Brushes

  • Main Brush: Remove the main brush cover and clean any tangled hair or debris. Use the cleaning tool provided. Replace every 6-12 months.
  • Side Brush: Remove the side brush and clean any tangled hair. Replace every 3-6 months.

4. Sensors and Charging Contacts

Wipe all sensors (cliff sensors, wall sensors, obstacle avoidance sensors) and charging contacts on both the robot and base station with a clean, dry cloth monthly.

5. Water Tanks (Base Station)

Regularly empty and clean the dirty water tank. Refill the clean water tank with fresh water and MOVA cleaning solution as needed.
